Re: What Could be worse than an injury to Brunell
i'd say that losing clinton portis for any prolonged injury related time would be just as,if not more catastrohic than losing any other player on the team other than santanna moss!

Worse than Brunell?
An injury to Campbell on top of that. |

Re: What Could be worse than an injury to Brunell
Losing Portis to a bogus shoulder injury after a tackle on an interception return. no need for that in a preseason game.

Id also like to think that this ends the trade talks about Betts, no way we let him go with Portis as a question mark. I think Portis will be fine, I also think hes happy because he didnt want to play in the preseason. Edge doesnt play in preseason either, he wants his body to be strong at the end of the year and doesnt want to waste the hits. Im sure he told Portis the same thing

Knowing an offense is one thing. Hell, any of us could study a playbook and "know" the system. Stepping on the field and executing is a totally different thing. As I've said before on Collins, I wouldn't write him off just yet. The backups in general were a mess. I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do with the starters... same for Campbell too. |

Re: What Could be worse than an injury to Brunell
Maybe Todd Collins is just so far ahead of everyone else in the system, that he only looked bad because no one was quite at his level yet... yeah I think I'll stick with that, that'll help me sleep at night.
Seriously though, I don't think anyone was expecting Montana out there. He's better than he played, but not really by much. Those that cannot do, teach
