FOX sports is on crack!

Fox Sports is reporting that Springs could miss several
more weeks still. Did anyone here this anywhere else? Is this wrong?
it is dated from today.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player...ws?statsId=3952

News: Redskins CB Shawn Springs could miss several more weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery.
Impact: It's a huge loss for a thin secondary. Washington may also be without Cornelius Griffin (knee) and Phillip Daniels (back) in Week 1. It's all good news for Minnesota, Washington's Week 1 opponent. (Fri. Sep 1, 2006)

I agree that Springs might be out, but Griffin AND Daniels.. please!

I've heard that it's possible he might miss the Cowboys game.

Don't know where you heard that one, CP is already back and will be at the Minnesota game. They said he's back, and is feeling no ill effects.

Re: FOX news is on crack!

I think Portis is back, and thats why I was mad about Springs, because his rehab would take him either right up to the MN game or up till week 3 or 4 of the season to heal. Which could cause some big problems.

Regardless, I want both to heal fully so they dont have nagging injuries for the whole year!

CP will be in the Minn game, he is rehabbing well and you can bet that Gibbs will say he is questionable at best to keep it under the hush hush....Come on Sept 11th!!!!!!

Re: FOX news is on crack!

From what I understood Griffin's injury wasn't a big deal and if this was the regular season he probably wouldn't have missed any time. Springs is the only one that may miss a few games. Portis will be back.

Re: FOX news is on crack!

He was ahead of schedule and probably could have even been back for this last preseason game.

Yeah, I actually think we'd be in pretty good hands with Duckett, Betts, and Cartwright for a game or two if Portis isn't ready.

But Springs on the other hand ... that one bothers me. And thankfully Griffin isn't hurt too bad -- this defense is completely different without him.

Portis was wearing a back pack last night - USING HIS SHOULDERS to carry whatever was in it - he was not wearing an arm sling. He is fine.

Re: FOX news is on crack!

Clinton's gonna go against Arizona. However, I heard Golic or Schlereth (sp?) say that it is not an issue of "if, but when" that shoulder is going to flair up. That's a pretty big issue. And if Brunell doesn't start playing better then this offense could be in deep trouble.

Which med school did they go to again? That may be right but lets not forget they have a 50-50 chance there.
