to their credit, both of these guys would struggle to be nickel backs on some teams... against TO, Glenn, and Witten (especially without springs), i'm surprised it ain't worse.

Re: Wright & Rumph Suck

I thought Rumph made some solid plays. Wright is looking like this year's Warrick Holdman

The score woulda been worse without Rumph poking that ball out.

Re: Wright & Rumph Suck

I think if we're going to let our entire defensive Identity rest in the arms of the Corners, we should have some kind of plan in case the older Sean Springs gets hurt...

I do think we should've drafted a corner first instead of a linebacker... but not to say we wouldve been in any better a situation...

Hurry back Springs...

Re: Wright & Rumph Suck

They were ok under the circumstances.

I'm more concerned about the lack of pressure from up front.

Re: Wright & Rumph Suck

We have to look at drafting another cornerback in the first round next year or picking up a quality one in free agency. Springs is a shutdown corner when he's healthy, but he gets injured too often. And Wright is definitely not a starting caliber corner.

What does that mean Wright is looking like this years Warrick Holdman, Holdman has been in the league 7 years and currently is holding his own at strong side, so what the kid is not a big talker or a show boat but he lets his performance on the field do the talking, he has had solid play the first two games and he has not had any penalities or made any major mistakes

It means Holdman was a solid veteran for many years who came here last year and looks lost and out of place. I'm not talking about this year. Wright is a solid veteran who has been in the league for many years, and comes here now and looks lost and out of place.

Re: Wright & Rumph Suck

Rumph and Wright as starting CB's in the NFL? Someone else is crazy! I will still swear that I'll take my chances with #28 as #2 or #3 CB any day of the week!!!! Did anyone see the last 2 games??? It's horrid back there.
