As to the "it's too long" refrain. I appreciate the feedback, but disagree with the premise. I'm not targeting these columns to the message board short-attention-span-theatre crowd. I'm writing semi-weekly essays for people less concerned with how long it might take them to read a piece than what if anything they might take from it. I have no problem being critiqued for the substance, I've just never understood the motivation behind someone taking the time to make his/her only comment that the piece exceeds some arbitrary length they've alotted to reading it.

With that ... here's to slapping Jacksonville upside the head on Sunday.
wow, just take the constructive critisism, man... I could say the same thing you did in about half the time. There's not an arbitrary length, just that there's a bit of filler in there that actually takes away from your point. I think most everyone said they liked what you were saying, but not everyone has time to read a copy of Chesapeake in between tasks at work!

Uh oh, someone sounded the extremeskins alarm. I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone showed up. Too bad you guys only come around to interact when something 'negative' is posted about you.

Hard to imagine why we'd feel unwelcome here, matty. But, I'll take your invitation at face value start posting here more.

As to why I showed up today, someone contacted me this morning and let me know there was a thread to the column here w/o attribution. Came over to verify. You mentioned "the facts." Just so I'm clear then, is there or is there not a rule here covering this issue? If I'm going to be around more, I'd like to be sure to play within the rules after all.

I thought you wrote that. All it said was

so I kind of took it to be like a resume, where you write in the third person in the objectives part. Perhaps I'm the only one though.

We all know here on the Warpath that there aren't any "extremme fans" posting on the Warpath page. That's why I said "Extremem Fan Writes"... meaning it came from EXTREMESKINS....

Okay, okay, you don't have to get so testy. I just misunderstood what you meant. I do, however, think that there are probably plenty of people who post on both sites.

I figured you got it from someone "over there", but I was curious as to why you pulled someones post and put it on this site. If it is written as an actual article, you should just put up a link to it, for future reference.

Because the majority of you don't go "over there"... and it is a good post and I wanted us to get pumped. Good grief.....

GO SKINS! And GREAT post from the Extremeskin! You rock!

I still post over there, not sure why you wouldn't feel welcome here. We may have had some differences with other individuals, but I don't recall any issues directly with you.

As for "rules" pertaining to links, while we don't have any hard rules of course proper linking to articles is always encouraged. But as I'm sure you know, it's not an easy job to police every single thread and post. In the end I prefer to leave the ultimate responsiblity with the individual.
