Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
I can't believe how a couple of you are already writing off Romo after his first game. Normally I agree with you Matty, but give Romo a break. It was his first regular season game, he's been riding the bench for three and a half seasons, and you can't expect him to just come in and look like the second coming of Peyton. All qb's playing in their season, let alone their first game, look like crap. Sure, there's a couple exceptions, but that's rarely the case. I won't be suprised if Jason Campbell comes in in his first season and throws twice as many picks as touchdowns.

I agree with you about JC though, so why are there so many calling for him? Brunell isn't throwing away the games like he probably would initially as you say. |

We all know it's about what have you done for me lately, and last night he didn't play well. So for all those fans begging for Romo, I hope they are happy and will shut up for a while, because they are getting what they wanted. But they won't be quiet for long if he plays like he did last night, that's for sure. Romo is a 4 year vet and was an undrafted free agent, and he's the answer? Please. |

Similar situation here in that the switch has to be made at some point. There's always a potention for the new QB to provide a spark and change the tide. You leave the it too late and you're going to get wet anyway. |

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
The Cowboys don't have a QB problem, it's all on the OL, they continue to be horrible. There were guys running free at the QB all night, not even blocked!
Benching Bledsoe is only tossing fuel on the fire at this point and Parcells is basically saying they're screwed. |

Bledsoe was K-I-L-L-I-N-G us. Int's at the worst time. Horrible pocket sense. Getting rattled and having his balls drop - haha - by the end of tough games. Of the four sacks he took in the first half one was him holding the ball for about 85 secs. On the unblocked Strahan Sack you could see that Drew felt the pressure and started to go down while Strahan was still four steps away! I wanted bledsoe to pull it together and go out like Elway. He ain't Elway. The whole team played bad last night. They all looked like crap. The Oline was a culprit but the TE's blocked NOBODY!! Witten was Bulled by Arrington, Strahan, and wiffed on Pierce in a series that led to an INT instead of a Flea Flicker TD to TO. None of those guys weigh more than Witten. Strahan is down to 255 to stay quick. Arrington and Pierce run at 245-55. If Brunell is costing you games, then you need bench him. Simple.

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
What's forgotten is that Romo should have never been the heir apparent in the first place. That should have been Drew Henson but he couldn't even make the roster.

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
Romo and his mobility let us get out of permanent Max protect and maybe Witten can catch some balls, because he isn't blocking well at all. He needs to block for maybe 20% of the plays.

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
I've seen Brunell do similar, and he DOESN'T look down the field for the long pass, at least Bledsoe does that much.

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
Look at Romo carefully becuase that is exactly what cambell will look like, i didnt think Romo did thta poorly, a few rooki mistakes but nothing thta costs them the game.

Re: Romo replacing Bledsoe
Who would the Skins rather face in two weeks
Bledsoe or Romo? I would say Bledsoe because he looks shell shocked.
