14% beer does rock. Check out Dogfish Head. They have several beers over 14% ABV, and their own malt liquor that they sell in their own paper bags...

No, their 120 minute IPA is like 20% abv, and it's really good. Immort Ale is only 11% (I thought it was more), is champagne based, and is really good as well. I haven't had the World Wide Stout (18%) yet...that's next on the list.
