WT - Victory doesn't change anything
Victory doesn't change anything - Sports - The Washington Times, America's Newspaper
After the Washington Redskins evened their record at 2-2 with a dramatic overtime victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars last month, feelings of exhilaration, relief and optimism filled Redskin Park the next day. The Redskins promptly wasted that momentum by losing their next three games. On Sunday, the Redskins moved to 3-5 with a thrilling win over the Dallas Cowboys. But the difference between the post-Jaguars Monday and the post-Cowboys Monday were striking. There was no exhilaration yesterday because the Redskins are still below .500. There was little relief because the defense allowed 378 yards and 10 third-down conversions. And there was minimal optimism because the offense halfway through the season remains a work in progress. "In any sport, if you can get momentum, it can work well for you and definitely give you confidence to keep on rolling," center Casey Rabach said. "But our backs are still against the wall because we didn't expect to be at this point." Admin/Mods, please move to News Wire, thanks. |

I'm still savoring the win myself, but when you look at the defensive numbers, it's very sobering. I just keep thinking if TO had held on to that bomb our season would be over and it would be absolute chaos in Redskins nation right now. |

R E A L I T Y, Hess.
We can do this but I don't think anyone needs to think we have it all sewn up. |

I AM ALLOWED TO enjoy a WIN. R E A L I T Y is that we WON. You do not hear me chanting SUPER BOWL when we are 3-5, do you? So get off my freakin back. Just because I believe anything is possible, and I have HOPE, doesn't make me WRONG. It makes me a FAN! |

Then why not focus on the other news article I posted?

Re: WT - Victory doesn't change anything
I am definately enjoying this win. I am also a realist and know we stole one on Sunday. So what, Dallas has "stole" games from us all the time. The most recent example is Patrick Crayton a couple years ago in Dallas. As a realist, the skins have to show a whole lot more to me for me to think they are going on a run. It is what it is. The season has been a disappointment, but there's a long way to go.

I agree..... and am savoring the win just like you because a win is a win, and at this point I'll take them any way I can get them, but like you I want to keep this win in perspective. It wasn't all about what we did, but more about what the Cowboys failed to do. Six seconds before the game ended my heart was fluttering, and thought there was no way we're going to win this game. Despite that amazing six second turn around, I doubt there are many here who felt any different. The odds of winning in that situation are slim at best.

I suggest you STOP attacking me personally just becuase I say what I feel. That would make 3 personal attacks in two days. When I defend myself, you continue and find a new way to insult me.

Re: WT - Victory doesn't change anything
You can suggest what you like, I'm entitled to my opinion that you are overly emotional.
Now if I'd said that you were a 'Typical attention-seeking drama-Queen psycho-bitch who gets as excited as a pre-walk puppy' then that could be construed as insulting, however I didn't. Your language yesterday regarding Brunell bashers was cause for complaint, yet I didn't. Chicks....Yikes! |
