ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
ESPN.com - NFL - NFL Coach Ratings
Anybody else see this? Only one coach as a 0 percent rating, and it isn't Art Shell, John Gruden, or Tom Coughlin. |

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
That's because it says no one has voted. I tried to vote, but it didn't register.

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
See, I voted and it did register, but still showed up as zero percent. There has to be more to it than that. I don't believe that however many thousands of people voted for Sean Peyton, there isn't one single person in the whole country who voted for Gibbs.

Why should they vote for Gibbs? He's done little with much in three years. We'll see what '07 brings. |

Really? Gibbs can stay forever? Not if he continues to lose....I love him, but not at the expense of continual losing or 'consistency' for that matter. That being said, I hope he can turn things around. |

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
The reason it gives a 0% is because he does not have enough votes to have 1% of the voting. I would guess that it does not give a % if its less than 1%. For example if 1,000 people vote and 2 vote for Gibbs it will not regester because its less than 1%.

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
The raiders and the skins are both debacles- raiders worse...but nobody expected anything out of them...on the other hand, there was Superbowl talk for Washington...without question, Gibbs and the skins have been the bigger disappointment this year. At least the Giants have a shot at the playoffs...any way you slice it, to have your season "done" (ie out of playoff contention) after week 10 or so, in a season where 7-9 might make it, its a SAD season, and i'm a sad panda. Gibbs has been horrible this year....but next years a new season, and i'm optimistic.

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
anyway whats the difference between a 15% approval and a 0%? (besides 15%?) kinda like being the best athlete at the special olympics?

Joe couldn't have a 0% approval rating, ever. Boswell's WashPost article about 'Skins fans is a great example of why. The fact that the Redskins continue to be among the most valuable franchises in pro sports is another. |

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
one of my points is consistency is a big player in todays NFL. lets get all the core players familiar with our coaching staff, so there isn't any excuses

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
Give Gibbs a pass for this season, I mean we just went to the playoffs last year. That being said, however, if there isn't some noticble improvement next season, it may be time for him to re-retire. I think we'll be making another playoff run, and division title run next season though. Gibbs is a very bright and successful man so I have every bit of confidence that he'll get things turned around.

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
he hasnt forgot how to coach. with that being said, if the skins dont, at least, make the playoffs, it may be time for him to re retire

Re: ESPN Coaches Approval Ratings
good coaching only gets a team so far, you need to have players preforming at at high level to go along with good coaching.
this year was a year of both bad coaching and bad player preformance.
