Duckett Heading To Detroit
Sounds like TJ is headin to Detroit: Source PFT.com
POSTED 9:31 p.m. EST, March 9, 2007
DUCKETT TO DETROIT Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that running back T.J. Duckett has agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions. Duckett will sign a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Lions. The maneuver gives the Lions three starting-caliber tailbacks -- Duckett, Tatum Bell, and Kevin Jones. We've previously heard that Bell, who was acquired recently from the Broncos as part of the Dre' Bly trade, is a candidate to be traded again. Duckett did the deal with Detroit after visiting the Seahawks.

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
Well I'm glad we were able to prove to Detroit that he wasn't worth a third round draft choice. It's ever so nice to help out when we can.

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
If I wanted to turn around a terrible franchise, the first thing that I would do is sign a 260 pound scatback!

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I don't recall 90% of us hating on the deal at the time. The majority liked the deal at the time.

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I had mixed feelings from the go on duck, giving up a third. But our needs required taking a chance. It just didn't work.

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I remember hating it and wondering why we couldn't just singleback sellers in the worst case scenario...

Re: Duckett Heading To Detroit
I didn't like the trade to begin with. I was really confused when it happened seeing we had Sellers.
