you of all people, should not be calling people dallas fans.

Why do i feel like the board's collective IQ dropped 20 points overnight? Is someone linking this site over as ES again? if so, STOP.

that is the best thing i have read in a while since when cant sean taylor cant cover did no one see him at the u and in his first game for the skins against the broncos sean taylor is the 2nd best free safety in the league if u count ed reed as a strong safety and to top it all off i think he might be better than brian dawkins getting too old

Again, it doesn't make sense because of AA's contract. No one will touch it. No one in the NFL is dumb enough to trade for AA.

This isn't madden buddy.

It's funny that you said that, because I was going to say you couldn't even make that trade in Madden without throwing in some picks.

Re: Have We Seen The Last of Archuleta in a Skins Uniform?

We all sit here and say AA for Bly makes no sense b/c of AA's contract. Very true. But something else that may factor in is the fact that AA FRIGGIN STINKS!!! His nickname is "Toast" for god's sake. I know, I know, one coach was telling him one thing and one coach was telling him another, but there was a reason GM's around the league said we were out of our minds for giving him the contract we did. "I don't know what the Redskins are thinking," was the repeated anonymous quote from various GM's... He's just not a very good football player.

Oh great, I just got a call from Shanahan - the deal was all but done and now it's off because you couldn't keep your big mouth shut about how bad AA is.

Obviously, AA for Bly would be a good trade for us - Denver may have other ideas as to the benefits they would gain by such a move.

Sorry this was such a "Duh!!!", I couldn't pass it up.

if a team would pay a boat load of money for a second rate player like dock then aa for bly could happen.i wasnt sayin it will happen.besides if it did at least we wouldnt have a looser safety.oh yea and if you read the news the skins and archy pushed the date for his bonus money back, opening up the posibility for a trade.so therefore his contract cost is pointless.

WRONG. guaranteed money is still guaranteed money, and in a trade the new teams takes on his base salaries of the old contract. his contract ABSOLUTELY does matter. NO ONE (besides you) would EVER trade a top 15 CB for a punt protector. EVER. it could happen, hell could freeze over, pigs could fly, and i could be struck by lightning four times within the next five minutes.

it COULD NOT happen, it will not happen, end of story.

Re: Have We Seen The Last of Archuleta in a Skins Uniform?

We might keep him as a backup or to play on special teams (although unless my memory's bad, I remember him missing a key block on special teams that cost us some points and lost us a game), but him gettin' on the field again for regular downs seems a stretch.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't just about every team we faced audible to throw underneath at him almost every time he came into the game? Calling him a liability in coverage is an understatement, I think. ...and then he pops off to the press too!?

If he's a backup to whomever comes in and plays the dime (I wouldn't trust him in the nickel.) and a guy that plays special teams, then he's worth whatever you can get for that--so what's that worth? A fourth rounder? I say take the hit, get rid of him and get somebody you can use.

Maybe R2D2 "aka Hippy Lettuce" is a member of the front office? That would explain some things...
