That may not be the worst idea. There is an absolute stud from LSU that should be on the board at # 6. Best safety since ST on the board.

Bears also picked up AA's 5 million guaranteed money he was due this year along with the 6th round pick. Bears let Jones go and now do this? They are making some weird moves.....

I WAS WRONG ON THIS ONE GUYS!!

AA is history and time to finally move on.

Where does it say that the bears picked up AA's 5 million guaranteed money? I would love that and would think that this is the move of the year if the Bears actually did that.

Good riddance you loser!! You were the worst Redskins of all-time! I bet the loser will be riding the Bears sideline just like he did this past season.

You don't typically get a third rounder for a bench player with a bad back.

This is as good as it gets for us.

I was joking. I should have said a second rounder to make it more clear.

ESPN.com - NFL - Source: Redskins agree to trade Archuleta to Bears

Re: Arch traded

Schefter reported that there is a possibility that this contract says that if he preforms well, the draft pick will be raised.

I am happy that we delt him but I was expecting a third to fith from Lovie, he seemed like he really wanted him

I also wonder how the contract was done, I think this will tell us what we are planning to do for the rest of this year and for next year.

Re: Archuleta traded to Bears for 6th round pick

I think it's a bad trade, but as in bad-but insignificant NOT as in bad-and very costly.

I think the better move would have been to take another year and try to get some return on investment.

But with Prioleau manning the secondary next year, the only thing that REALLY matters is that we get an impact player on the defensive line in this draft.

And that we don't end up with Calvin Johnson.

We're very lucky to get anything for him.

I wonder if he re-worked his deal to get out of town.

Seriously! You guys think we could have gotten a THIRD!?!? The writing was on the wall that despite what Gibbs says, Arch was gone. Why would they part ways with a 3rd if he was probaboly just gonna get axed anyways.

Re: Archuleta traded to Bears for 6th round pick

I think the main selling point for the Redskins was ridding themselves of Archulettas contract.
