Re: Archuleta goes out talking smack...

I dont care much for the article, but this is what worries me.

"The communication between me and certain members of the coaching staff was pretty nonexistent for the last few months of the season. I could air a whole bunch of different laundry. There's a lot more going on [at Redskin Park] than people understand."

I think he is directly referring to the stuff that JLC was talking about in that notorious Post article.

Didn't he do enough of that by being the "mystery" player in the article earlier in the year?

I don't ever remember him bitching about being on the bench, I mean I could see it being others. I dont think it was Springs because he openly denied it and was offended that he was linked to it.

I guess it is was him, but you would think a vet like him wouldnt do something like that.

Seeya Arch, wouldn't have minded seeing you actually do something here, but you didn't.

5rings, good to see you. While I hate your team, I love when knowledgeable fans from other teams come by. That's what makes this site great. Don't listen to the naysayers that shrug you off because of your avatar!

welcome back 5rings, and you are right on the money. when is the last time any athlete came out after a poor season and took the blame? he could have said that because i was the highest paid safety, ever, in the NFL, i just didn't perform like it

Re: Archuleta goes out talking smack...

Someone mentioned blowing above and I think the only blowing going on is Arch and himself.

For having such a crappy season, he sure did have a lot of nice things to say about himself.

Re: Archuleta goes out talking smack...

I think AA was an insurance policy if ST hadn't been able to play last season. Thank goodness that didn't happen and look for a return to glory from Williams and the Redskins D! AA can kiss my ass!

Considering how pathetic and depressing last season was, I would say that Arch´s ESPN article was worth the 5mil the team payed for his one lousy year. Great Read.

WOW!!

Thanks for all the good tidings Redskins fans!!

#56 I have a problem with the notion of weak coverage as a Strong Safety. As you all know, Dallas also has a SS that has Questionable cover skills.

At some point your Strong Safety is going to have to cover.
I don't think that you can blame the coach for asking his Strong Safety to cover.

I also think whoever suggested that Arch was insurance for ST might be right...

Re: Archuleta goes out talking smack...

Just double checked Pro bowl rosters from 1999 - 2005. No Archuleta.

I thought he might turn out to be a good signing for us - but, alas, he really does have the football instincts of a blind gopher. Good luck to him in Chi-town. When he comes back, just isolate cooley on him and watch how well he is "in position".
