Maske/JLC: Gibbs Hints Redskins Might Trade Up

I think Gibbs is set on Calvin Johnson. It just seems when they are high on a player they do whatever it takes to get that person. It will be this years 1st, next years 1st, and 2nd, possibly a player. About a month to go and then we'll see what all this is truly about. I get the feeling also from reading some of the other post that Lance Briggs will not be a Redskin.

Let me go on record saying this would be the greatest pick up ever! What an amazing superstar to have on our team.

I also want to go on record saying that this would be a terrible plan! We have critical needs elsewhere like DT and DE.

this doesn't really seem like anything we haven't heard before, with the exception of the fact that it's actually coming from Gibbs.
I think everyone in the Redskins FO should enter the World Series of Poker this year because one of them is bound to win it. No one seems to be able to read what they're thinking and they seem to have everyone on tilt.

Vinny says we'll trade down, Joe up! Who knows till draft day. No matter what, this will be the most exciting draft day since 2000.

I would love to have CJ & I know he's a Gibbs type receiver & person. I also fear the desmond howard jinx, but he definitely has a lot more going for him than Desmond did.

My main problems w/this are:
1) Can we pay Cooley what he's worth next offseason?
2) We'd have 4 wr's earning big checks & most of the O earning big $, but less $ to spend on the D. As it is we're going to have to hope that we find a stud or 2 in the late rounds of the draft & undrafted rooks.

I'm torn, I don't know what to think!

Well I stay by my position that IF Calvin johnson falls to 6 which I HIGHLY doubt I think the Skins should take him but besides that. Trade down. i don't see them moving up though.

Guys, I just heard Gibbs just hinted he and Pat might order Chinese food tonight. But they're also open to the possibility of going out for pizza. Any plans to go to Cold Stone Creamery after dinner are not imminent at this time.

They're all a bunch of idiots! They should be going out for Italian Ice at Rita's in order to save a couple of dollars for tomorrow's dessert. Don't they know anything?

Yeah, there's no beating a Gelati from Rita's:

Custard on the bottom (Choc. Van, or the new hot pick is twist)
Ice in the middle (I hear mango has moved up a couple spots)

I heard that they are considering trading up to take a salad in round 1, a sirloin in round 2, and perhaps a late round Irish coffee.

Will they ever learn to just build from within ? They always go out for more food when there are more than enough leftovers in the fridge. I mean why get a sirloin when there's a piece of chuck steak in there from last night ? Sure the chuck isn't sirloin but it's doable. All it needs is a little A-1 A LITTLE EFFIN A-1 ! THAT"S ALL. NO PATIENTCE. I mean it's not like they are going up for a rib eye ? That's the problem they ALWAYS DO THAT. AND A SALAD ? IN THE FIRST ? I MEAN JEEZ,...you can find a salad in the later rounds ! I heard there is a pretty mean salad from Olive Garden who should be there in the 5th.

The Pasta Fagioli should also be available in the 5th and it's better suited for our scheme.
