Re: Pastabelly bashes J. Gibbs
The issue with Gibbs as team president is - he was and is still a little inexperienced. And to make it more difficult (for himself), he is head coach. That's 2 full-time positions, he is taking on - actually that's 2 over-time expected positions that he is taking on. Gibbs also seems to have expressed that he is a learn-by-doing type of person. The problem that he may be overlooking is - as team president, he never had the type of previous personnel background that made him so successful as a head coach.

You can hate Joe, or love Joe. Fact is, take away Joe's impact on the Washington Redskins, and we're the DAMN Bengals.
I think Joe turns it this season. Just for the record, I am one of the fans that will still be on his side side next season if he doesn't

Joe deserves some heat as the coach. He has made many coaching mistakes since his return. Now that we have a QB that can get the ball downfield I want to see a more aggressive, quick strike offense.

Re: Pastabelly bashes J. Gibbs
2004 was a bad year.
2005 was magical. If Rogers picks that off he's in the endzone and maybe we're in the championship game. That team knocked the Seahawks around all day long. We just didn't get it done on offense. 2006 was a total dud. I blame the coaches for this year. After Brunell failed in 2005 playoffs he should have been eliminated from the starting line up. Way too many coaching mistakes. If Joe wasn't Joe Gibbs he would have been fired after this season. I have confidence that they have learned from their mistakes and adjusted to Al Saunders. Anything less than the playoffs is a failure and Joe needs to go. Its do or die time. Joe Gibbs had the balls to come back! Unlike the Tuna who gets no heat for that bail out move. Pastabelly has ALWAYS talked smack about the Skins and Joe. I personally think he hates Snyder and loves to undermine everything about him. Pastabelly is a fat slob! |

The 5-11? Better luck next year. We lost games we shouldn't have. I dwelled on the Minnesota loss for about 7 weeks, and then gave up. If we couldn't beat Minnesota at home on opening day, we weren't going very far. Tenessee did us in. We could have won a lot more games than we did, so ya know, whatever. Next season is right around the corner.

Re: Pastabelly bashes J. Gibbs
If we do not make a real run this season, Coach will probably step down. We have a weaker schedule and our division is rather pathetic overall. Brunell was the weak link in 2004, late in 2005 and all of 2006, but if JC flounders, it might mean that the rebuilding will take longer than what we had hoped. My main concern is not just the JC might flounder, but that if we do have another subpar year we will lose a lot of solid performers who will probably throw in the towel and we are back to square one with trying to fill in large holes.

Joe Gibbs wins the SB at least once every 4 years. By my watch, its only been 3. He may need a 5th year because the QB is too green.
