Just watched Dear Zachary. Painfully difficult to watch. So tragic
My assistant has been trying to get me to watch Dear Zachary for a while. He showed me this extended trailer and told me that after the movie he wanted to cry his eyes out and punch a hole in the wall at the same time. I'm like, do I want to watch this? So is it worth it?

It's obviously pretty moving, but it sounds so intense.

It's very very difficult to watch. It's well done for sure, but be prepared to experience the whole gamut of painful emotions

I liked the Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, didn't realize the guys from Jackass produced it

I couldn't really get into The Parking Lot movie. I didn't really care for the characters, like there was nothing specifically they were facing that I could rally behind them for, apart from just everyday frustrations.

Watching The Lottery now

My favorite part about the Parking Lot movie is just how some people would try so hard to get out of the few dollars they owed. Plus the constant rebuilding of the arm that comes down to stop you. IDK maybe I have just had a lot of crappy jobs like that so it home.

I think for a Doc to be successful in your mind you first have to give a crap about the subject.

for example a lot of people love Exit through the Gift Shop, Ithought it was awful and boring.

Yeah those little arguments over a couple of dollars were kind of funny. And frustrating for the attendants I'm sure. Just thought it didn't flow well enough

The Lottery is pretty good, next I'm going to give Louder than a Bomb a shot

I feel the same way about Food Inc, I'd rather not know.

I haven't watched The Parking Lot Movie yet, but my wife has and she said it was great.

SS I really think you will like the Justin B doc, really goes behind the scenes to show how he came to be. Actually pretty incredible story and I actually grew to like him (not his music) after watching it.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

also if you make a Doc make sure you have lots of these on the cover saying different things about how awesome your movie is.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Facing the Habit is another good one!

Second Skin is good as well (WoW Doc). Crazy how people get sucked into.

I suggest watching Second Skin then saying to yourself these have to be the biggest nerds in history then watch Monster Camp and be like O-H M-Y G-O-D there are really people like this.

I like to see Life 2.0, I never understand people that play that also.

I'll check those out. Wanted to see My Flesh and Blood, but it's not on instant

Saw God Grew Tired of Us, solid not spectacular

Just wrapping up Conan O'Brien Can't Stop. Interesting look at the "real" Conan

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Chronicle was freakin awesome. Had a bit of an Akira vibe to it and the special effects were better than I thought they'd be given the budget by todays standards.
