If people could just change their screen name whenever they wanted, they could come on here saying whatever the hell they wanted (spamming the board, using profanity, being a general no-nothing moron, etc.) and then just change their name and leave behind their previous comments.
Part of the reason for screen names is to assign an identity to your opinions. If Daseal changed his screen name, how the hell would I know who's been kicking all the puppies? I know some Mods have changed their screen names recently, but they post so often that everybody knows that Smootsmack was TAFKAS and then became Smootsmack again. Maybe if you post 10,000 times, we'll know you well enough to be able to make the transition from Redskin_Rich to Sammy Baugh Fan Jr. PS Please don't post 10,000 times tomorrow.
