I think that qualifies every one from the mid-west. Seriously ever mid-western I ever meet just goes on and on and on.

Girl in my office I will seriously walk away from her and she is still talking. She picks up no social ques that you are tired of listening to her. We all say she tells stories in real time, so if the event she is telling you about took 4 hours it will take 4 hours for her to tell you the story.

Growing up my little sister was a bit of carry on'er when telling a story. So if at dinner she was going on and on I would hold up my knife and point to the point of the knife, meaning to her get to the point.

After all that I made a long winded post about long winded story tellers, how ironic. =)

I honestly love being thorough when I'm telling a story, or talking to someone. I feel like if I cut it short I'm half assing it. But that's not to say I'm long winded all the time, only when I feel it's appropriate. I have enough social cues to know when to wrap it up.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Having to work all of next week and spending Thanksgiving alone, while my family is out of town. Ugh. And to make matters worse, we're understaffed and overbooked. Again. Hello overtime.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

People who don't wipe down equipment at the gym.

Seriously, people, this isn't your personal gym. The gym is also one of the most common places to pass disgusting viral infections and whatever else to other people. That's why they provide you with free f'n wipes to wipe the shit down. It's not just for show. So get off your lazy asses and wipe the f'n shit down. I feel like I'm going to go crazy for wiping down machines before and after I use them.

I hate that too. And then they leave that huge sweat stain where their head was on the equipment. Bleh! I bring my own towel to wipe after I use the equip just cuz I'm a bit lazy and don't like going to the wipes to wipe after each piece of equipment.

Yup! I mean I leave a huge sweat stain too but I don't leave it there for other people to clean up. It's common courtesy. Especially on the crunches machines.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Lately it's been two things grinding my gears.

1- the local pro teams playing horribly.

And

2- all this balance the budget BS. How our politicians want to take money away from the American people through Social Security and Medicade and Medicare basically hurting the American public, but they think it's ok to give billions of dollars to Pakistan and other Middle East countries who don't like the USA and don't vote for American interests in the UN.

How our country throws money at other countries who have had a Natural Disaster but don't have a problem with taking from its own people.

How the Gov would rather make its own people suffer before cutting military spending, money to the CIA, and other Gov agencies. How they want to steal from the elderly before they themselves start taking major pay cuts.

I have no problem with balancing the budget as long as it is done by returning tax rates on the rich to where they were in the 1990's. Remember the '90's, when the economy was so robust that we had the largest surplus in American history? Then we don't have to cut benefits needed by poorer folks, as you indicate. Recent history tells us that to make our country healthy we should raise taxes on the rich.

Politician would say "you're sounding too reasonable to follow."
