Your favorite city, and why.

What is your favorite city in the USA, and provide reasons as to why it is your favorite.

Chicago. The winters suck. But in the spring/summer time it's awesome. Downtown is always lively but never (to me) feels overcrowded. You can take in a day game at Wrigley Field. People have that midwestern charm (whatever that means) and I love deep dish pizza

To me, Chi-town is the best city in the U.S.

I love Chicago too. I still go there every year to visit my grandparents who live in Hyde Park. I also love New York. But the number one city in America is Gettysburg PA, screw outsiders.

I love Chicago too. Lots of things to do.

Being from Boston, I will not say that one since it would be a hometown favorite. (nothing like a Red Sox game BTW)

My vote goes to Denver. The greatest skiing in the country, great climate in all 4 seasons, all 4 sports, one of the best water parks in the entire country, one of the cleanest cities in the country, and quite frankly, the scenery is unmatched.

Re: Your favorite city, and why.

I went to New Orleans about a year and a half before Katrina and I got to say it was pretty cool. I mean beyond the partying, there's just a lot of cool history to the place. It was nice taking a tour of the French Quarter, and we went on a "Haunted Tour" of New Orleans.

It's an intense city though, non-stop partying. I don't know how people manage to actually get any work done down there. NYC is starting to grow on me the more time I spend there

I can see the lure of NYC, but not New Orleans pre katrina. It was such a dirty city...it smelt like piss and I saw several people on the corners just peeing away. In fact, i would rank New Orleans as one of the worst cities I have ever been to, and I have been to quite a few considering I've been to 41 states.

Re: Your favorite city, and why.

I'm biased, but Washington D.C. is the greatest city. I've lived in L.A., lived in San Diego, travelled abroad and there's no place like home.

D.C. has everything. Character, history, musuems, diversity, politics, sports, and yes, even crime! Adams Morgan, Georgetown, Cleveland Park, Dupont Circle, The Hill, Spring Valley, Uptown and Downtown.

I love the creeps on the Metro that refuse to stand to the right, I love Cherry Blossoms in the spring, and even those muggy August summer days.

I appreciate DC more now that I'm away, but I needed a change from there.

Re: Your favorite city, and why.

Big Santa Monica fan...it was just the most beautiful place I've ever been, I loved it there.

I'm also a huge Tampa guy, that is a really small city for as "big" as it is nationally. I mean the whole city itself I feel like I could walk through in an hour, just a real nice place, lots of sports.

Well, at the time I moved I had some personal shit going on that I kind of wanted to get away from.

But mainly I just like change. I mean like I'll never buy the same cereal two times in a row, or toothpaste, soap, what have you. It's a quirk of mine. I'm loyal to a lot of things (football, family, friends), but in other cases I just get bored too easily with the same old same old.

I think it's done me good to be somewhere new for the past year.
