Great post.I absolutely hate the Patriots with a passion! I have hated them since 2001. They are arrogant assholes, just like their coach. The refs in last nights game obviously were patriot fans, the gave the game to new england.

Re: Why Tom Brady is a complete and utter d-bag and the Pats have no class
Amidst all your ranting, you have all seem to forgotten a number of things.
1. If anyone actually happened to watch the entire game, you will recall that one of the Pats DB’s was tackled during Boller’s hail mary pass at the end of the game, was offensive pass interference called? No. Had Baltimore scored on that play, none of your arguments would have any validity . 2. On the play towards the end of the game, when defensive holding was called on a pass intended for Ben Watson in the endzone, not only was he initially held (I don’t care how subtle it was, it still happened), but he was also clearly bumped in the back before the pass got there. 3. With respect to the refs making calls beneficial to the Pats that turned the game, this happens in the NFL all the time. Recall during the AFC championship game last year (Pats/Colts) when the ref called “face guarding” on Ellis Hobbs in the endzone, which led to a crucial Colts touchdown which turned the game? What about the year before in the Divisional round (Pats/Broncos), when there were multiple questionable defensive pass interference calls against the Pats. I can pinpoint a thousand more, but I am sure it would just bore you. Every team is the victim of bad calls, and the beneficiary of good calls. Its part of the NFL. Deal with it. You just have to make enough plays to overcome it. 4. Lets talk about class for a minute here. Have you heard about the commercial Peyton Manning turned down? Neither have I. The only commercial Brady accepted, he would refuse to do unless his entire O-line was in it as well. 5. I’m sure it was the refs fault, too, when Rex Ryan called a timeout before Brady was stopped on 4th and 1, right? 6. With regard to Brady complaining to the refs in-game, he is the epitome of a competitor, enough said. 7. How did the refs screw up the Pats 52-7 spanking of the Skins earlier in the season? I look forward to reading everyone’s excuses. 8. Everyone on this board would be proud to have Tom Brady as the quarterback of the Skins, and you would defend him in times like this. And you all know it. 9. The Patriots are 12-0. They are the best team in the league, arguably the best in history (especially with the parity of free agency), and everyone outside of New England is having a hard time accepting it. Instead of looking at yourself and your own team, you criticize another to reflect the blame. Instead of saying “What am I doing wrong?” the only thing you are able to do is criticize others. But the matter of fact is the Skins are 5-7 and are most likely going to miss the playoffs. Yet the only group receiving criticism is the best team in the league. Now ask yourself, does this make any sense whatsoever? P.S. As Saddened, angered, a depressed I felt after hearing about the tragic death of Sean Taylor (may he rest in peace) his name does not belong in this discussion. |

Are you serious? We are still talking about running up the score?! This is the National Football League, ladies and gentlemen. This is not high school football. They are professionals on the field. IT IS THE DEFENSE'S JOB TO STOP THE OFFENSE! If they can't do it, then let the points keep coming. It is not the offense's responsibility to stop themselves.

Re: Why Tom Brady is a complete and utter d-bag and the Pats have no class
I really think they should get rid of instant replay. I don't like having too much communication between the booth and the guys calling the game. People may say, "well, instant replay helps them get it right." To that, I say, so? The referee is always right. Whatever he rules is what occurred on the play. A lot less funny business would go on if the guys on the field would just use their judgment and there was no time to review plays, we just went with what they saw.
I'm sorry, instant replay totally changes the game of football and I think that's definately a negative. "Getting it right" is usually an excuse for being able to get it wrong initially. I don't want second guessing. I want one call, from the officials, and that becomes history. Too many times, instant replay totally changes a game. Getting it right or not, one team still gets screwed, as well as the fans. I'm with John Madden on this one. Every play in football is about "was his knee down before the fumble?", "was his arm moving forward before it was hit?", "did he trap that one?" Who cares? If it looks like a fumble and smells like a fumble then it's a fumble. When the ground causes the fumble, the official knows right away and rules it down by contact, that never needs to be reviewed anyway. The location of a guy's knee has no bearing on the likeliness that he will cough up the ball. I hate cop outs.

Re: Why Tom Brady is a complete and utter d-bag and the Pats have no class
too much anger in the first post (i know i'm late to the party).
i think i agree with scowan that i would've gone for the onside, since there's no real downside and it'd run time off (keep three safeties deep in case there is a recovery and a run back, even though that never happens). replay is here and it's not leaving, while hating it is a valid opinion, it's a definite minority and it's not going to change. IMO, replay is great and saves the league a lot of possibly embarrassing situations where ESPN replays terrible on field calls that were 100% wrong and cost teams games). |

I agree. For a team that already has won three SB's and are seemingly on the way to win a fourth, they do not seem anymore very arrogant, smug or what ever the haters are saying as any of the other teams. Even Randy Moss has been quiet. The past Cowboy SB teams were much more arrogant than these Patriots. I remember seeing an NFL Films special on the Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Carolina Panthers. During the warm ups on the field a few of the big defensive lineman on the Panthers were talking trash and trying to get the Patriots to start a fight. All of the Pats players stayed quiet and kept saying to each other,' We will give it them up during the game.' and they did. I like the way they handled themselves. |

Re: Why Tom Brady is a complete and utter d-bag and the Pats have no class
We now have three threads on the Pats and if you look only one other team shows up and thats the Bears who we play this week. If they were 7/5 or 8/4 and acting like they do no one would give it a minutes thought. I wish our team had something to be cocky about.

baltimore killed themselves with penalties, they were tackling wrs mid route (and got away with plenty of non-calls themselves). No use whining, and no need for so much anger.
there were some close calls, but the refs didn't really screw up, and the ravens worked hard on killing themselves with penalties and undisciplined behavior. |

Now explain to me what do Pats fans have to prove to this guy? It seems SC Skins fan has more to prove about his being a true sports enthusiast. |

Re: Why Tom Brady is a complete and utter d-bag and the Pats have no class
The only reason people don't like Brady and Belichik is because they're so freakin good. Nobody hated the Pats until they started winning superbowls. If Belichik and Brady were Redskins, we'd have nothing bad to say about them.
