Re: Leigh Torrence...
Well, when you have undrafted rookie practice squad guys out there, what do you expect?
Sometimes, it works--Heyer--sometimes it doesn't--LT (the OTHER, OTHER LT...).

Re: Leigh Torrence...
That's why cornerbacks are so important. The fact that we had three starting caliber corners on the team this year has been huge. There can be a dramatic dropoff in talent with backup db's.

Re: Leigh Torrence...
seriously, this kid stinks.....actually stinks is a little nice - he F'n SUCKS! I have not seen someone get beat up so bad since the New ORleans corner earlier in the season. I hope we have someone else to play for this dude. Where is Barry Wilburn when you need him?

Re: Leigh Torrence...
HA! HA! I told you guys you'd be sorry!!! Seriously, LeTo (I refuse to use LT since that is reserved for Lawrence Taylor or LaDanian Tomlinson) is really, really bad. If I was an O-Cordinator, I would throw at him EVERY play. Is there really no other talent out there? I never thought I'd say it, but I can't believe how much I miss Rogers. He was finally turning it on - and let Smoot excel as a nickel back (which suits him since he's hurt or sick for 1/2 the game anyway...). Springs is fantastic but only has a few years left at best, so I figure we MUST draft a CB in Rounds 1 or 2 of the draft. We can't afford one in free agency - so don't go there... And you know we don't have enough money to bring THE ADE back! |

Re: Leigh Torrence...
The Torrence experience has always surprised me, we signed David Macklin after Gibbs convincing him to play in DC for less than he could've gotten elsewere, yet the guy is inactive most games.
He played a little last night, but it appears that obviously Torrence beat him out for that spot. Either that or GW really thinks his potential outweighs his inexperience, let's hope so. On a positive note, the kid is a decent tackler & he's not getting beat deep. Even when he's giving a lot of cushion they could still go after him deep w/double moves. Also, all of our cb's have been giving a lot of cushion this year due to GW's cover 2. |

Leigh Torrence...
is one of the reasons why the skins will spend at least two picks in this years draft on the secondary. The guy is not going to make the roster next year and he will probably be replaced by 1 or 2 CB's picked up in the draft. I think we might use a day 1 pick on a safety as well. (Day 1 pick on a CB and a S; Possible Day 2 pick on another CB). On a side note, I have been searching for an actual inventory of our picks. I know that ppl have mentioned it on different posts before and I have heard that we lose a 4th or 5th rounder this year. The best resource i have found is Wikipedia (which is dangerous to trust) but according to the list of transactions, i don't see any of the skins' picks being traded away. Anyone have any confirmation on this? 2008 NFL Draft - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
