That has not been talked about to much (that I have heard or read), this team is getting healthier, peaking at just the right time. I heard the boys on ESPN saying that nobody will want to play the Skins in the first round, as they Hot.
True or not, it made me feel good, and I am damn proud of my Skins regardless of the outcome of the Dallas game.

All I'm saying is the odds are stacked against the Skins. Got to win 3 road playoff games to get to The Promised Land and that isn't going to be easy.

The odds are definitely stacked against the Redskins this postseason. The team will be playing on the road without half of its starters in the secondary, McIntosh, the starters on the right side of the O-line, and their #1 QB. And that assumes that the team beats Dallas, which probably will not be as easy as some expect.

That said, I'll be happy with A playoff appearance. Perhaps my standards are too low, but after the playoff drought from 1992-1998 and 2000-2004 I just want to see our team play in January. Moreover, with all that this team has gone through this season, I think it's reasonable to hang our hats on a wildcard spot.

yepper it,s great to be in the playoff hunt again but i want to get back into superbowl contention again..but it seasons like this one that can bring a skins team together for a longtime to come hopefully....and one other thing your avatar is a great reminder that it,s been awhile since we last experienced something that special...i want more but having the team fighting it,s guts out again is a start. it feels good for once ....like you i want a little more.

jsarno, good thread! My cup is ALWAYS at least half full! I've been rooting my beloved team on this year, and 40+ prior it never stops for a true diehard WIN or LOSS!

I hope and believe they can give us the WIN we need to get into the playoffs this weekend, and I'll be there to root them into victory. When we finish off the cowgirls everyone is 0-0, it's a new season! Then I'll be rooting for our next SUPERBOWL RUN, YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS & KEEP THE FAITH!

I understand man...I've been a die hard fan for around 30 years, and it won't ever stop. It doesn't matter if we're 0-16 or 16-0, I'll be there with all my gear on.
On a side note, I gave all my family members a picture of my wife and I with my two dogs for christmas. I put skins t-shirts on the dogs, and I had on my authentic Taylor jersey! What a gift!

I'm feeling it, and yes I do believe! I support my team 100% no matter what we go through the good and the bad (However, I do believe week 17 is going to be the great finish we expect and off to the playoffs we go). Thats what separates the part timers and the true diehard Redskin fan.

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!

We're all fans here baby. Lets get to the playoffs and get ready for a few wins. Like A.R.E said, 5 games to go. I never gave up but that is besides the point. The week of buffalo was the worst week of my redskin fandom life.

The thing is, the league won't remember sean like we will. He will be honored a few times again and then be forgotten. His name won't be brought up. I would like him to be remembered for how great he was. The only way to do that is to win, win, win. People remember the steelers super bowl for Bettis because they "won it for jerome". If we do the impossible and make noise in the playoffs, Sean Taylor will be remembered throughout the league. The media will talk about his inspiration and more. I just want the league to never forget who sean was and not look at it as an event.

On a side note: I was so close to putting 20 dollars on the skins making the super bowl at 100:1 odds. That would have been nice. It was 300:1 to win the super bowl at that point also. I didn't only because i have never bet online so i didn't want to transfer the money online. Whatever.

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!

Call pessimists out...its all good - as a doubter I'll happily eat crow if we make it to the playoffs. Still not convinced about this team and coaches being consistently high performers. A few shaky wins and close losses to start next season, and the doubt will percolate onto the threads again.

The thing I was wrongest about is how well the offense could function under Collins. That's been the most surprising thing the last 3 weeks. Especially the domination of NYG and Minn on the road.

Ole Joe hasn't been mismanaging games either. Great job getting the troops fired up to play.

I think all the skins fans across the country said the same thing at the same time when Campbell went down..."SHIIIT!" I'm am thrilled Collins is playing as well as he is, and I am really hoping that Gibbs doesn't get the bright idea to play Campbell again assuming he's healthy. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Re: For everyone that didn't give up!

this is the question I have been asking myself for about 8 weeks now. The only other time an undefeated team played in the super bowl, who did they play??????

perhaps we will get a chance to win this time?
