The Prophecy
I might get beat up for saying this, but compare our team to last years Dallas.
Dallas 06 and Washington 07 were both: -9-7 in the regular season -lost first round playoff game to Seattle -old coach left the team -new coach (lets assume GW) steps in Leads to: -13-3 record -breakthrough season for QB -4-2 in division -consistent victories Thoughts??

Re: The Prophecy
Funny I pointed out these same similarities to a friend. I hope it holds true

Re: The Prophecy
I love this kind of crap! To add a little more:
Old coach leaves after 4 years New coach was a top Defensive coordinator who failed as a Bills head coach

Re: The Prophecy
Since Tony Romo didn't become Dallas' starter until halfway through the '06 season does that mean TC is the QB to take us to the promised land?

Re: The Prophecy
I've thought of these parallels as well. The fact that it was Parcells & Gibbs is funny too. I think Parcells may have started w/the g-men a year after Gibbs w/the Skins, but not sure on that.

Re: The Prophecy
And Lincoln was shot from a book warehouse, while Kennedy was shot by a bear in a whorehouse.

Re: The Prophecy
This will only come true if our new head coach, quarterback, and owner all show up in a crappy Pepsi Max commerical with Maui from season 2 of The Wire pretending to be our OC.

Re: The Prophecy
The similarity ends with Jason Garrett. He is the true difference maker from a coaching standpoint. We (hopefully) keep Saunders, so our same system is in place where Dallas has a new system.

Re: The Prophecy
Well, I love the omens, but thus far, none of them have come true. Like How the Skins in Gibbs 2nd season won it all.
I love the speculation, and of course I will root for it, but things just haven't worked for us like that.

"You take those, I'll take these." I hope that's supposed to be funny, because could you imagine Snyder doing that to Saunders?

By the way, an interesting thing about that commercial is the change they made to the original. In the original, Jones grabs the headphones and says, "C'mon, do I have to do everything around here?" For some reason they changed it to him tossing the bottle and saying, "You take this, I'll take these." Not sure why they made the change, or why I'm wasting time pointing out that they did. |
