Did The Cowboys Have A Better Season Than The Redskins?
Legitimate question, I think. Sure the Cowboys had a better record, but did they have a better season. Or are they one in the same.
If I were standing by being objective and a fan of either team, I would be more encouraged by the way the Washington Redskins finished, the overall sense of cohesion of the team than the Dallas Cowboys and how their playoff run ended. I guess the real question is, if each team is one and done in the playoffs, who had the better season? You guys care to weigh in? |

yea i think we finished the year better, but depending on who becomes our coach, they might finish the season better as in having an attact team with a full coaching staff

Well the end result was the same for both teams. Dallas played better football throughout the year and the skins ended on a stronger run. Dallas won the games that we lost so I'll have to give them the edge.

Re: Did The Cowboys Have A Better Season Than The Redskins?
Ok there are two things to look at here: Performance during the regular season and performance in the post-season.
The Cowboys went 13-3 yes but they played down to the competition in almost every game they should have won handily. They were whipped up and down the field against the Bills on Monday Night and won on a series of events that realistically has probably a 5% chance of happening. Also, if you noticed once Tony Romo signed his new contract his play seemed to decrease dramatically as well, compiled on the fact that they are the first NFC number 1 seed to get bounced in the divisional round of the playoffs since the NFL went to a 12 team playoff in 1990 and seeing what the Skins accomplished this season after all the injuries, the death of Sean Taylor, and what they were expected to do I would hjave to say that the Redskins had the better season.

Our season was better because we rose from the ashes. They crashed and burned.

Season: Cowboys
Finish: Skins (we beat em) If the rationale is any team who doesn't win it all is tied for second and we have a better draft pick (though the boys have the Browns #1 which is higher than our 21) than yes our year is slightly better. Otherwise you have two playoff losers. No better or worse than Bucs or Colts in my opinion.

Dallas pretty much has every advantage in the comparision EXCEPT how they stack up for the future. They had the better 07, but things are looking good for us in 08 and 09.

But from top to bottom, the Cowboys had a better 2007 season? Is this a silly argument? |

Re: Did The Cowboys Have A Better Season Than The Redskins?
We both lost, but they were the number one seed. Sure there was more excitement lets say in our season never knowing and fighting to get into the playoffs and probably more satisfaction knowing we got there with all that happened. That being said the Cowboys were the number one seed no matter how they won there games. But they are two different seasons and so close to one another the way they ended that I dont think you could say that one is better then the other

Next year we get those injured players back, and have every right to think we will be a better team. The Cowboys had a very lucky year, but didn't get it done. Next year they will have a lot more adversity to contend with than they did last year. So if we proved anything this year, it's that we could roll with the Cowboys in the future, it's just that circumstance prevented us from doing so this year.

It was about the same in my opinion but no one can call us chokers. Dallas had dreams of the Super Bowl and disappointed down the stretch. The Redskins season was full of ups and downs.

Re: Did The Cowboys Have A Better Season Than The Redskins?
Cowboys all the way.
They played great most of the year. Most of their players has career years. They gave their fans alot to cheer for. I'm proud of this years team but they did underachieve the first half of the year. They blew too many games in the fourth quarter. Injuries, Injuries and More Injuries.... Most importantly, A wonderful young man lost his life this year. Btw, He was a pretty good football player too. The Redskins finished strong and I am proud of them, but 2007 was not a good year to be a redskins fan or player. |

Re: Did The Cowboys Have A Better Season Than The Redskins?
I would have to say the Cowboys for the most part. They finished with the franchise best record and they didn't loose a great teamante and coach. I do feel that the way the redskins handled it and came out playing for Taylor was AMAZING and I thought that at the end of the season the Redskins had a better chance of getting farther into the playoffs then the Cowboys. So it's kind of hard because like i said what the Skins did was amazing but i'd have to give it to the Cowboys because they did have a lot of accomplishments (records) and they had a bye week. The biggest reason I would think they had a better season was because they didn't loose anybody special and I think it would be hard to say the Skins had a better season when they lost a great player and a HOF coach....
