Re: Changes look good

I'm the first to admit my eternal optimism regarding Washington each year. With that being said, Zorn really has impressed me by how confident he seems and sure of himself. Think he's a winner and here to stay.

Loved his comments on Jason Campbell and 7 new coaches/systems in this article. Campbell's ego and confidence was a bit shaken after last years events. I can tell by Zorn's comments and little tidbits here and there. Zorn will maximize Campbells productivity and that's going to mean wins.

Re: Changes look good

I'm kind of excited about the new approach and that we hired Zorn to be coach. When kept interviewing other people for the job in the end I said to myself why just we hire Zorn to be coach since he was already the quarterback coach for one of the best coaches in the league in Holmgren. Wouldn't it be something if Zorn has a rough first year and then we went after Holmgren to be coach and president and demote Zorn to Offensive Coordinator and QB coach. I'm saying that I agree with that but it is something to look at in the near future. Zorn may be need some more time before becoming a HC and Holmgren could teach him the ropes of being a great coach. At the salary Zorn is making now it is really the same as Garrett who is just the Assistant Head Coach-Offense. The only we have to do is give Zorn that title and promise him that he will be the head coach again when Holmgren retires this time.

Holmgren is done coaching after this year. Zorn is our man.

Pretty funny you have Snyder as your icon signature!!!

Re: Changes look good

Just to recap. the past month:

1. Hired a relatively unheralded coach who is known for being a great teacher, and a high-character guy.
2. Promoted Vinny to the executive personnel position (effectively making him our general manager)
3. Announced that we would be taking a conservative approach to a free agency market that we perceive to be a seller's market
4. Retained a great deal of our coaching staff
5. Quelched any potential for a QB controversy
6. Removed a talented, high-priced player who was a cancer

My opinion? These are all the right moves. In just one month my perception of the Redskins and Snyder has really changed quite a bit.

Here's to hoping they keep it up

Re: Changes look good

What a good article. It's nice to see something POSITIVE written about our 'Skins for once. I like all the changes that have been made thus far, especially Lloyd saying bye-bye, and I am VERY confident at this point.

Dan Snyder's complete 180 has stunned me beyond belief. Maybe JG is in the background kicking Danny in the nuts every time he mentions something silly like Randy Moss coming to DC.

It's a nice aricle, I'm cautiously optimistic, after all, we haven't even started the fa period.

Re: Changes look good

Hard not to be excited in the direction we're headed in offensively.

I'm not super pumped about next year, but I think we can look forward to being perennial contenders. Wish we weren't in a division this though, but that's the breaks.

I have the vibe that we're going to be a disciplined team on the attack. Just overall increased efficiency. Better play clock management, two minute drill, timing, and just a general tightening up on offense. The play makers are there, and we don't need to add much (a WR is all IMO).

We just need the depth now.

Defense has me worried, but we've got an entire off season to worry about that one.
