Re: Official Wizards vs Cavaliers Playoff Thread

i think the different is that the wizards take better shots when GA isnt in the lineup. he needs to become more disciplined and play more with the team. hes a pg that averages a low assist amount. i think stevenson adds good balance to the team and i think he should stay in the starting lineup. however, AD is getting old and GA is going to be a free agent either this year or next right? didnt he opt out? either way a new pg is needed

Before this year I had a ton of respect for LBJ, because I thought he was a tough, smart basketball player, but since this series has started, all he has done is scream and ask for a fould every chance he's gotten, I have no respect for a player like that.

That's nothing new, he's been doing that since we started playing them in the playoffs the last 3 seasons. I'll give him his due, he's a great player, but I feel like he whines way too much.

And I gotta say, I laughed my ass off when he grabbed his throat after Songaila gave him the backhand to his cheek. Great acting there Lebron. He is a good actor though, whether it be falling down from a slight tap or the fact that the refs never notice the traveling when he decides to drive to the basket.

i agree, he has been doing this in every series we have had with the cavaliers. he got hit in the chin and was grasping his throat like he was choking, he checks his lip for blood when he gets hit on the arm...really pathetic. a great player like that should not be getting into sh!t like that

Almost all of Brendan Haywood's fouls came that way.

I was getting ready to post the same thing about LJ. He's an unbelievable player but damn how many calls can one person get. It's really unbelievable.

Re: Official Wizards vs Cavaliers Playoff Thread

I mean come on LBJ is getting Jordan calls and he's won as many championships as anyone on this board. I've always said Kobe is a better player and always will be. Kobe doesn't travel on every drive and doesn't cry as much(almost every NBA player cries for fouls) as LBJ. I mean its starting to look like professional soccer with some of this after the foul acting. Not knocking soccer I know most of those guys are incredible athletes but come on, sac up and stop acting. I know he's good but I can't stand Lebron. Anyways good win......Go Wiz!!!

That crap the officials tried to pull last night was unbelievable. I mean, down to the very last play of the game they tried to give LeBron the call. The Cavs stood there stunned at the end because there wasn't a foul called. Unbelievable.

I don't ever won't to hear LaBron's name and Kobe's name in the same breath again.

Great win for the Zards! Comin' back to Verizon, baby.

I really hope Boston fucks the Cavs up. ATL is looking strong right now, however.

I am assuming you are referring to me.
Sorry I wasn't around to joust verbally with you guys...I had to get an MRI on my lower back and I have been out of pocket / out of town for a couple days. I have some severe issues with my lower back and the word "disability" has been thrown around by my doctor which is scaring me at this point considering I am only 33.

Does anyone know how disability works?

ps- MRI's SUCK for people that are claustrophobic (sp?).

I would love to comment on game 6 of the C's and game 7 of the Wiz/ cavs game, but I missed them both.

Yeah, I hear ya on that one, ordinarily I'm not a claustrophobic person but everytime I take an MRI after a little bit or so I start getting a little panicky and I feel like I want to flail about but I can't lol.

ESPN - Papa John's to offer Cleveland residents 23-cent pizzas - NBA

Papa John's to offer Cleveland residents 23-cent pizzas

Papa John's Pizza issued an apology to Cleveland and the Cavaliers for making T-shirts with LeBron James' number and the word "crybaby" under it.

To apologize, Papa John's will sell Cleveland residents a large, one-topping pizza for 23 cents on Thursday. The 23 is an homage to James' jersey number. The company also will donate $10,000 to the Cavaliers Youth Fund.

That is one of the gayest things I have ever heard of, Washington residents should get free pizza for all those crappy calls.

ESPN - Wizards confident team will resemble 2007-08 makeup - NBA

Wizards confident team will resemble 2007-08 makeup

There is no use speculating whether Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison will return to the Washington Wizards next season. If the attitudes expressed Sunday are any indication, their futures with the team are a foregone conclusion.

"I think it will be the case," forward Caron Butler said. "I'm almost positive that it will be the case, that Gil and Antawn will be back in a Wizards uniform next year."

Butler's words were echoed repeatedly by his teammates. Even point guard Antonio Daniels, not one normally to wade into front office matters, said keeping Arenas and Jamison is "a must."

"Crucial is an understatement," Daniels said. "My job is to play, not to make those decisions, but it is a must. We want to make a run at something that we feel is so close."

"If I'm 100 percent, then I'm going to ask for a max," Arenas told the station. "If I'm not, then it's negotiation time. If I know my knee's not going to be 100 percent, then I'm not going to sit there and say: 'I want the max.'"

If Gil leaves, I wouldn't be completely pissed, but if Jamison does the Wizards are gonna have some trouble, he is a very good veteran with rebounding ability, shooting ability, and hopefully won't ask for much.
