Re: final prediction for #21
I'm still trippin' off the fact that our pick happened to fall at '21'...Sean Taylor is definitely watchin' this team...Hopefully we will turn that pick into something that will really help out the defense..I will probably cry tears of joy if whoever we pick plays with Taylor's passion.

Re: final prediction for #21
I predict a trade with Baltimore for this year's second and next year's first, similar to what Cleveland gave up to get Brady Quinn last year.
If they stand pat I think Merling is a good guess, unless one of the five top Oline prospects remains. |

A trade with the Bears might be possible. They are rumored to be really trying hard to get another pick late in the first round

Re: final prediction for #21
i'm really hoping someone falls.
it looks like we might be stuck with kelly or sweed, due to good players being gone... if that's the case i'll be pretty pissed, cause neither one of those guys looks very good to me. I mean, if they fell to the 2nd, maybe, but i really just don't like them. honestly, merling doesn't really do much for me either, but at least he's a safer pick at a position of great need that looks like a real/legit nfl starter with some upside... he'll never be the sack magnet though. |

Re: final prediction for #21
I don't think they're taking a WR, not with Boldin and Johnson's future with their current teams still in doubt. I think the safest bet is Merling but I won't be surprised to see Calais Campbell selected.
Honestly, for me I want the absolute best available playmaker available at any position except RB and QB.

I'll go with Merling...but I also have a feeling that something completely from left field could happen.

Merling. If he's gone before # 21, we trade down and look to take L. Jackson from USC with our first pick

Re: final prediction for #21
I could live with that for sure. I wouldn't be too surprised if the trade down was for Balmer either. But Jackson is more likely than Balmer

I would be pleased with Balmer too.

Re: final prediction for #21
Just like with Landry, we are going to take the best available player in the draft, and if Merling is still there, I think we will take him.

Merling or trade back. His sports hernia makes me nervous. I'd love to get Jordy in the 2nd, but I think he's gone by the time we pick. Good luck Vinny, may the Schwartz be with you.

In a huge surprise move, we trade up and take either jake long, or glen dorsey.

Re: final prediction for #21
I think it's ridiculous that teams are shying away from Merling due to a sports hernia. If he slides to #21 he would be a steal.

Re: final prediction for #21
I guess I don't know enough about it. It sounds like something that could recur, but I don't really know. If it's not a concern, I'd pick him if he's there.
