Exactly. That's what I'm getting at. Like Mike Ditka said today, you never know what you have until they get on the field. And ask Kordell Stewert if he was set up to succeed. Same system but a failure. I am glad Jacobs is being added to the playbook to see what he's got and it seems that he can add a lot to this team. We had no problem plugging Cooley and Taylor in as rookies with a totally new system. My feeling is that there is something going on with Ramsey in Gibbs' eyes. Many guys have already posted that he has an affinity for vets (disproven by two starting rookies) and an even greater affinity for vet QB's. However, now it appears that if he had the rookie Dan Marino (or Big Ben, though a whole season has yet to pass) he'd be riding the pine. So what is it: is Gibbs so hardheaded that he refuses to play Ramsey because he is young OR is Gibbs allowing himself to take the heat for not playing Ramsey because he sees something (lack of confidence, gun-shy) and doesn't want to sell the kid out (or prefers to maintain his trade value)?
