Redskins vs. Lions Gameday thread

I look for us to come out and smack this Lions team right in the mouth. No trap game here we need to prove/show who we are.

We are by leaps and bounds a better football club. Lets make today a repeat of last year Skins match up with this club at FedEx. Dish out another real pounding!

We will win this game in a convincing manner.

Don't forget the REDSKINS KICK OFF pre-game show comes on shortly.

Comcast SportsNet Washington DC, Baltimore & The Mid-Atlantic

Come on 1pm. Thoughts.

WEATHER MIGHT BE A FACTOR . . . AT FORD FIELD
Posted by Mike Florio on October 25, 2008, 10:01 p.m.

Here’s some interesting news for a slow Saturday night.

Per this video at NFL.com, the weather could be a factor on Sunday when the Redskins square off against the Lions.

At Ford Field.

“Winds will be gusting upwards of 20 miles per hour,” says the Accuweather.com weather lady. “That could play a big role in the kicking game at Ford Field.”

Yes, it could. If they remove the roof from the place between now and game time.

We realize that everyone makes mistakes. But more than one or two people surely had their fingerprints on this video. It’s amazing that it didn’t occur to at least one of them that Ford Field is a domed stadium.

i agree,we need to come out and kick the lions right in the nads!the lions have yet to score in the 1st quarter this season, and we need to put at least 14 on them really fast, maybe 21.

May the wind in the dome come from the Redskins blowing away the Lions.

Heyer should do a decent job. I am more worried about Mike Green starting for Horton.

Thats what they just said. These guys are needed for the big steelers game much more than this matchup, if they can not go. That was a big list of inactive's.

Yeah, but it's the Lions and I feel comfortable with Heyer at either tackle position. I'm more worried about our secondary. LaRon, Los and Smoot are nicked up.
