Its not that I don't want the Redskins to win- that argument is a massive oversimplification. Rather, I believe we are (and have been) just re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic as opposed to changing course. The ship is going down (we aren't making the playoffs)- so we should have been preparing for the future. get your young guys experience, rest the vets, sure you may (likely) lose the game, but that is also (like I said) not necessarily a bad thing long term (better draft pick next year). chess not checkers.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Sure, but objectively speaking, it doesn't do anything for us this year. We can speculate that it will help with team chemistry that may carry over to next year, but really, all it means is a worse draft pick

So would you have rather seen them lose today? Are you really that much of a debbie downer?

I would have, this game probably put the cowboys in and did nothing for us.The offense once again looked like shit.JC looked terrible even when he had time to pass,Zorn once again makes another terrible coaching descision to go for a 54 yrd fg with the worst kicker in the league, what was he thinking!!? The defense looked great, props to them. Now if we would have won this game and scored over 30 points I would be saying "Hell Yeah" but this win does nothing for me.Jc looks as inconsistant as he did when he was a rookie,I'm tired of the excuses for him.Flacco looked a lot more poised against a fierce Dallas pass rush last nite, yes JC should be our qb next yr,but if he continues to look like the same inconsistant qb then bring on Colt.

To clarify my position, since we arent making the playoffs, next on my xmas list is Dallas not making it,since we looked so listless on offense,I would have rather the Eagles have won to improve our draft position and probably knock dallas out,Now if we would have won with the offense scoring 30 points that would have been great

Now that we're enjoying the win, here's something to make you laugh from ESPN's Bill Simmons:

"Speaking of short yardage, you know Philly is struggling when reader Dan from Fairfax, Va., sends me a long e-mail explaining why Andy Reid should sign a "little person," then have McNabb line up in shotgun formation while holding the "little person," take a shotgun snap, hand the ball to the "little person," then fling him over the offensive and defensive lines into the end zone. And Dan was serious. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2008 Philadelphia Eagles!"

That's pretty good Ruhskins, We could use a little levity around here.

I would definitely pay to see that – but I can’t see that play working more than once )

I told this joke to my wife, who really don't know much/care much about football, and she easily laughed for like 5-10 mins. LOL.

McMoron is at it again.

When interviewed in the locker room, he said "it's frustrating to lose to a team we know we can beat."

Yeah well McNabb. You guys are so much "better" than us, yet we've won 4 outta 5 over you and took a huge dump on your playoff hopes.

I wish he would just go away.

Re: Official Game Day Thread: Redskins vs Eagles

Great defensive game by the skins. Horrible offensive game. Downright bad. It was like Gibbs was back on the sideline there in the second half. How many times did we get the ball on or around the 50 only to go run, run, throw, punt? I'm happy for the win unlike many, but very disappointed in the amount of opportunities only to score 1 TD.

Aikman said the perfect word to describe JC...nonchalant (sp). He looks nonchalant back there.
