Re: Springs Released
ESPN980 just reported that Cerrato says Rogers will definitely be back AND we have room to make another FA signing and we are looking at offense now.

Re: Springs Released
Sad to see him go, but he needed to go. I hope he doesn't become a Cowboy though, that wouldn't just feel right, maybe he can be a Texan.

Re: Springs Released
I think Springs is still one of the top corners in the league when healthy. I really hope he does not go to Dallas.

Re: Springs Released
So will it be Dockery, Willis, Brown, or Stinchcomb?

Re: Springs Released
As much as I'd like Dockery back, RT was a much bigger issue than LG. If we can do Dockery and Willis that would be ideal but I don't think we've got the cap room for that. Brown is likely signing with the Rams.

Re: Springs Released
Would love to have Dockery back...
I think DD would be a great addition, and I hope he wants to come home to Buges.

Re: Springs Released
Dockery is a guard, not a tackle.

Re: Springs Released
I agree. We can mask deficiencies inside, at least keep JC from getting killed, but at RT we can't. JC will be dead unless we upgrade there.

Re: Springs Released
Any chance we can get two of them? (ie Dock and Willis/Stinchcomb or)

Re: Springs Released
1) Brown
2) Dockery 3) Willis 4) Stinchcomb in that order. I can't imagine we have the money to chase two of those guys. I have to imagine that our overall cap number is somewhere in the realm of 6 million right now...the amount freed up by releasing Springs. So considering, the effects of the rookie pool will be about half that, I sense one signing on the OL coming.

Re: Springs Released
I think this is a smart move. I really liked Springs and will miss him he was a beast when he played. Anyone remember the Game againt Dallas, when he shut down T.O. That was a thing of beauty.

Re: Springs Released
I, too, am sad to see Shawn Springs go... I really enjoyed watching him play... When healthy, I really think he is one of the top corners in the league, I'll hate to see him go... I too really hope he doesnt go to Dallas, but if I had to guess, I'd say he might end up there...
