Re: Sen. Ted Kennedy dead at 77
Why even post this? Just don't say anything if that's how you feel.

Re: Sen. Ted Kennedy dead at 77
Why is the old bastard beyond reproach? I didn't like him in life. Why should I feel any differently now that he's dead? Isn't this what blogs are for, people posting about how they feel?

If you hated him so much, why not quietly be happy he's gone? Sure blogs are about posting how you feel, but how about a little couthe?

This isn't a blog. A blog is something you write and maintain on your own. This is a discussion board with many diverse members and views, and at least out of respect to fellow members who have a positive view of Kennedy (who are also fellow Skins fans) maybe we could eliminate the negative comments in an RIP thread. No problem with voicing opinions, but maybe wait a few days and start another thread. FWIW.

Re: Sen. Ted Kennedy dead at 77
I'm struck by the scores of major legislation Kennedy introduced and ultimately saw passed into law. SCHIP, OSHA, minimum wage, and civil rights are a few that come to mind. I think more than any modern day politician, he found his place and voice in the U.S. Senate.

I swear, when someone dies, there should never be RIP thread because all people do is come and piss on it.

I'm sure Mary Jo Kopechne agrees with you. I'm just waiting for Sheets Byrd to drop dead now.

Forgive him for he can not help his handicap. 50 great years of service can't be disputed by the likes of Trample the Lunatic.

Re: Sen. Ted Kennedy dead at 77
Alright alright . . . .
A funny true Ted Kennedy Story: As told to me by my political science professor. Ted Kennedy used to throw Halloween parties every year. One year he goes in drag. He gets in the elevator with Strom Thurmond (a notorious horn dog). Strom pinches him on the bottom. Teddy turns around and says to him in a masculine voice, "Senator, I never knew you cared". Strom almost fainted. Strom used to have a louiseville slugger in his office. When asked what it was for, his assistants would say, "it's to beat his pecker down when they put him in the casket". Happy now?
