Screw the Super Bowl. That game was 10 times better!!!

Lol golf. Chasing Steve Stricker doesn't have quite the same ring as Chasing Tiger.

Re: Washington Capitals 2009-2010 ongoing thread

they have a damn good chance to tie the pens record right before the break i hope they beat that and then win the cup which would really one up the pens since they didn't win the cup when they had their streak

I don't know much about Hockey, but fourteen in a row is simply amazing. The Caps are truly giving the City something to shout about, at least until the Redskins re-emerge.

Re: Washington Capitals 2009-2010 ongoing thread

It's been amazing watching this streak. Time after time we've gotten off to a bad start and I sit there thinking, man they can't keep coming back again and again, but yet they do it every time. Today I was thinking it's over, down 4-1, the Pens of all teams, felt like game 7 all over again, it's gotta be over now and then one little goal turned into 2, then 3, and then finally the capper in OT. It's just amazing how this team does it and I feel like it's truly special witnessing this because I may never get to see a streak this great again in my lifetime. It's gotta end sometime but damn if I'm not enjoying it while it lasts.

This year feels even more like our year than last year did. We have 2 solid years of playoff experience, we've been in 3 series with the core of this team and all 3 have gone to game 7's, so we should be really setting ourselves up for success once the regular season is over. This is just getting me even more amped to see this team in the postseason now. What a special time to be a fan of the Caps.

Will be interesting to see how the Caps keep the momentum going with the Olympics break.

At this point though, I think anything less than a Cup Finals appearance will be a disappointment

I wish we had just one extra game before the Olympics. Then we'd have a chance to set the record prior to the break. Good old uncle mo will be gone after the winter games most likely.

But Varly will be back....

i just googled to see if he was still planning on playing in the olympics and looks like he will

the article also talked about ov8 and his mother, interesting fact i never knew of, his mom won two gold medals in basketball for soviet union in 76 and 80

Well, this could be the night it ends. However them taking the goal away from Ovie was BS, and their 3rd goal should not have stood. Oh well. Thems the breaks.
