Perhaps. There is no denying that this organization is run by Mickey Mouse.

re: Updated/Merged: Shanahan Rumors (Will He or Won't He?)

If Shanahan is our next head coach, I'm pretty sure that Alex Gibbs will be brought in to fix our offensive line issues. This would be ok, because Joe Bugel would most likely retire at the end of the season.

I'm on the Shanahan bandwagon, but wouldn't mind Holmgren either. Their are a ton of big name headcoaches out their that Snyder could lure out of retirement to coach us.

However, would they be willing to come to us w/o Vinny Cerrato being fired?

God, I hope that something happens. At least it'll keep things interesting for the rest of the year.

Re: Shanahan likley to be 'Skins next Coach

Maybe we should just start a thread called Shanahan Rumors and merge all the existing threads on him

That would probably be better than a new thread every time a detail emerges.

Unless Shanahan gets total control he is not coming to DC.

Anyone think that Snyder will give him total autonomy?

Ted Sundquist had the title but Shanny was in charge.

As Tripp points out, Shanahan is probably the likely choice but not the best choice. I worry that Snyder will sign someone like a Shanahan or Holmgren etc to be able to say "See, big time coaches do want to come here." But so what? Don't bring in a big name coach just to bring in a name coach. Do your research man. Shanahan should not have control over personnel.

Oh hell no! Snyder's ego would never allow that to happen.
