It would be like the show According to Jim when his wife's best friend came to his house and he found out she was a Packer fan.

A Packer fan...in MY house?!! LOL classic

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread

I also noticed that we didn't have a lot of penalties today either. Correct me if I'm wrong, but no holding calls on the offensive line.

Anyway, anyone else notice how Aikman was jocking the Cowboys and Romo at the beginning of the game and now they're playing like crap?

I know it's just one win, but they are going to face a very dangerous and hungry Redskins team next week. You could tell they had a little swagger during the post game interviews.

Besides giving more playing time to Ganther, we need to wildcat Hunter Smith.

Skins will get back on track, this was a huge win for a team in doubt.

Was it me or did the skind actuall come out and show that a fake FG was coming and call a time out only to come back and still go fro the fake FG with 4th and 20? That has to be some kind of NFL record at that point in a game.

That's exactly what happened. But Hunter Smith's take on it during the post game was the Skins never considered it a trick play. They lined up and felt it was just a play they could execute. Trick play was never a part of the equation. At least that's that they he put it.

By the way, he's one funny dude.

I couldn't believe the fucking balls that it took to stick to that play.

It worked, I think, because we had every reason to think it was a punt.

The Bears ran a very similar fake field goal in Washington in 2001. I imagine that the play was designed somewhat similar to that. We also needed to be on the perfect part of the field to run it, 5 yards in either direction and that play isn't effective.

He wasn't nearly as deep as you normally line up for a punt though. As soon as I saw him a step or two behind shotgun I knew he was throwing it.
