Loosing $40 million for Snyder is like me loosing a $50 bill. Sure it sucks but I'll live and so will Snyder.

Re: Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
f*** Haynesworth, he needs to shut the hell up and be happy with his massive contract and play his fat ass off...on a lighter note, I'm pretty happy just to have someone established on the payroll as the defensive coordinator

I am glad to see alot of the staff coming together now, and maybe Shanahan will have the whole staff together in the next few days, that would be a good thing right off the bat. |

we were all complaining about blache using his linemen just to occupy the defenders (more of a 3-4 thing if I'm not mistaken) and not allowing a true pass rush.. now we wanna bitch that people want to rush the passer? he was complaining that he WASN'T earning his paycheck, yes.. in those words.. by the way he was being used, I'll take that any day what the hell is going on? |

Last year is over and done with, we'll have a new staff in place that I'm sure is well aware of Albert's discontent and will find ways to maximize his talents. As far as I'm concerned he has a clean slate and a new beginning. |

Re: Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
I'm fine with Haslett. To me, he or Zimmer, or Crennel, (basically the other only guys I heard that were in the running) would have been fine too.
Apart from not wanting anyone from the current staff to stay, I didn't really have a favorite for D-coordinator. |

Re: Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
AH better get used to the words Nose Tackle. I do like the idea of RAK at OLB. I doubt Fletcher makes a good transition to the 3-4. if the Skins didnt need Oline so badly id say they should go after the ILB from Bama. McClain i believe is his name.
at this point any need adressed is an improvement. take the best available.

Re:Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
44Deezel, i agree the d was worse. but dont hate on AH for doing his job, i would say hate the mindset thst leads to that type of contract. That is what everyone wants to see change.
The giants chose the get 4 for the price of one with canty, boley and a couple others all lesser talents than big al. how did that work out for them? our d front line was better with big al, our back7 with hall instead of springs - not so much. bottomline hopefully Haslett uses our players to their strength. Re: Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
I agree, for the $$ AH is pullin if the Skins ask him to play DB he'd better do it with a smile.

Re: Haslett to accept Defensive Coordinator
The more I read into Haslett's career, Mike's history w/ coaches and our current defensive roster, I tend to believe Haslett won't be very successful and won't last long. Mike doesn't seem to know enough about defense to match a great defensive mind w/ best fit players. Typically he's bounced all over the place w/ one DC to the next, all the while playing the dominant role in drafting guys. Result: you don't get a consistent system defensive players grow into nor do you get defensive studs a great defensive mind can envision doing a certain number of things on the field.
For those who say Williams single-handedly turned NO into a dominant defense, I think Darren Sharper may wish to disagree. Without him Williams' defense is rather mediocre. The same goes when Ellis cannot be dominant in the middle. Somebody in NO was brilliant in bringing Sharper in (maybe it was Gregg). There's little evidence Haslett knows who he "needs" to make a great defense. There's even less evidence Mike knows what his DC needs to make it happen.
