As 12th pointed out, its not like they had been running it up during the entire 4th quarter pouring it on after the Cowboys made it clear they were say "no mas". Up until the drive before the Cowboys were attempting to score. The Vikes were on the 10 and took a shot in the end zone. BFD. It clearly made the point as the cowboys didn't even pass on their next possession but called 2 or 3 running plays to run out the clock.
Agreed 100%

You just don't get it, when the Redskins are playing we root for them. When Dallas is playing we root for opponent. It's quite simple.

16 pages for a meaningless touchdown pass between two teams not named the redskins in a game that was already decided when the said touchdown pass occurred?

i say we bring out the skins-pats thread and see if we can run this thread count up to say 34 pages.

I'm actually interested in what I said in that thread. It would be interesting to compare the comments then and now.

Here you go.

Your first post in the thread say it all:

I loved Belichick's presser. "We're just out there playing football."

If he's accused of having his team ready to kick ass, guilty as charged. The Skins had absolutely no fire, and the Pats did. That's the bottom line.

If anything I hope it serves as a wake up call to Gibbs and co.,but somehow I doubt it will. But to answer the question, I have no problem with the way the Pats scored on us yesterday - none.

Can't believe this has gone 237 comments (now 238). A lot of vaginitis down in Dallas these days...

I think what also rubbed people the wrong way back then was the smug attitude Belichick had about it. When he was asked after the game if he thought the Pats ran up the score he said something like what should we have done, kick a FG?

This is what he said:

Quote:
"I've been coaching too long," Belichick said. "I remember being on that side. When I was coaching defense it was my job to keep the score down, not theirs. When you're playing defense it's your job to stop them. It's not (the offense's) job to not score. It's like I tell the offense, what the (bleep) do you think I send you guys out there for? To punt? We have a punt team for that. That's not your job. Your job is to go out there and score points. If you come off the field and you haven't scored points you haven't done your job."

Really the only thing that rubbed me wrong about the Pats was the fake kneel downs. They did that in a couple of games right.. or was it just one?

I also like how people act like it's so undignified to bring up Belecheats personal life when we have a thread about Rinehart being drunk in public after his seasons over. Some of you guys are a real trip.

I think it's equally classes for anyone to cry about being blown out. I'm glad Belicheck blew us out, now our ownership knows his product is defective. A lot of superbowls are blowouts. Can't say I've ever heard a team, or fans cry and complain about being beat 55-10 in a Superbowl.

Guys ....... take it easy on the cowboys fans that come to the Warpath . What do you expect them to go the the cowboy fan sites ? The cowboy fan sites are calling for all of their fans to come together in a choke-a-thon to honor their beloved team , some have taken out their anger by mass choking of chickens ....
