Oh and Willie Parker is giving them the finger! Man, BA didn't see that coming. Looks like a new door is in order. Come to think of it what was BA thinking? Offering a low ball contract to a productive 29 year old running back before training camp. Either way folks this negotiation is over.

Maybe Bruce Allen is secretly a member of this board. And maybe because of all the GOD DAMN references to the vet minimum has caused Allen to offer only the vet minimum when he brings in veterans for visits. See what happens when you all talk stupid?

You and four other guys feel the same way.

So -- what about Derek Anderson? He was released today, former pro-bowler 2-3 years ago - and he's YOUNG - 26 years old. Struggled the last year or two, but the potential is there...
Cleveland Browns release former Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Anderson - ESPN

Right now Bradford may get drafted #1, and Clausen may not be a franchise QB. It may make sense to draft Okung or Davis as a Tackle, and then use a FA like Derek Anderson to compete with Campbell.. Of course there will be other teams interested we'd have to compete with (and we don't seem to lock up FA's anymore..).

I would bring him in he's worth a look a decent long ball thrower.

I'd at least interview him. If he doesn't make it out of camp, oh well.

I think drafting oline now worry about QB is for sure the way to go. I wouldnt mind trying to get Anderson for competition, but i got to think that he could land with a team that gives him a better chance at starting.

Derek Anderson was a one hit wonder. He will never have that type of success again.

Derek Anderson sucks. I mean, seriously, he has no touch or accuracy on his short passes(Browns game against us in 2008) and just chucks it up there for grabs when he's pressured(basing this on a preseason game interception).

If Anderson will sign cheap then bring him in. Competition at all positions is good. Good luck to him in making the team, though.

The Broncos just signed Jamal Williams as their NT. With Justin Bannan and Jarvis Green as DEs, man that is one tough front line, that is if they stay healthy all year.
