Haven't been able to confirm Smoot/Betts releases, but both of those guys are potentially obvious choices for release.

Wow, this day is getting better and better, although i'm sure "appreciation threads" will start popping up at one point or another. I do have one request - can a lifelong ban be placed on any warpath member who posts a ARE appreciation thread?

I suppose thats the smart thing to do. Considering the money we're paying him, as GM said, if he can even be somewhat productive, we should keep him. Its hard to imagine him not earning a roster spot with his play, but i feel he should be cut at the first sign of trouble.

anyone think sellers will be cut?

We'll get em. That will not be a problem.

But it looks like right now, the RB depth chart is Portis, then Alridge/Mason behind him. Ganther nontendered (he's the one I forgot), and Rock/Betts will be gone tomorrow.

As soon as he tore his ACL he needed to go. That is a two year injury for a young guy, let alone an injury prone older guy.

I feel bad that Betts never got his payday after his big half-season in 06 but he chose to take the hometown discount.
