The bad news is even after drafting a 1st round LT who only gave up half a sack in his first year the team still did miserable and the coach was fired.

No doubt about it, Clady held his own. You can't pin the losses on him.

I would gladly take a rookie tackle that only gives up half a sack in his first year.

Honestly, if we have had a QB like JaMarcus Russell or Derek "2-completions-in-one-game" Anderson, I'd be all over a QB at #4. I just feel a that a better use of our resources would be a trade down or a top tackle at #4.

Not sure what your point is... Clady is one of the better LT's in the league. Clearly the Broncos had other issues which led to Shanahan's firing.

Which is exactly my point. We have many issues and a bona fide leader for the offense is one of them. I think it would be awsome to have a 1st round LT, but then we get more of the same at QB. Mediocre talent. If we pick up a LT and RT in the first two rounds we are pushing the QB position into a situation we already have. Might as well stay the course and expect the same results at the QB position. Although the protection will be better. I'm just pointing out that many of the fans here think Bartel and Colt are fodder. Many think SexyRexy is washed up or is a nice clipboard holder. That leaves JC who has other issues besides lack of protection and time to throw the ball.

Who knows maybe picking up the line this year and getting a QB next year is the answer. But don't expect to pick one in the top 5 unless we throw a hell of a lot at whoever has those picks. With this years 4th we could simply add a little to that to get to #1 if we wanted to vs. next year sitting at mid round throwing an extra pick or a couple of players in with it and if we simply pick mid round we are still sitting were we are now.... mid to late 1st round draft picks in JC and SexyRexy.

Still not sure what your point is...

I'm in favor of building the line first and worrying about the skill positions later. As we saw last year it's tough to do much of anything if you can't block.

If this goes down I think its a brilliant move by Philly. Hand over the reins to Kolb while the rest of the team is solid, get something in return for DonnieMac, and unload some salary. Their O is fine, they get secondary help and can use the pick on more secondary or LB.

McNabb still has some quality years left. Not sure anyone is going to give up a 1st for him, but a 2nd would be a no-brainer.

I think the trade is a wash. The Rams get a QB, who when's on, is probably a top ten QB in the league. The only question is can he stay healthy. If Mac can give the Rams at least 3 or 4 years, then it was definitely worth it.

If good ol' Mcnugget doesn't get traded now, they've probably jacked up his attitude for 2010. That's good for us.

If they're gonna do it, McChunkButt wants it done quickly.

McNabb says Eagles should 'do it quickly' if they want to deal him

Man, get this trade done already.

Get McNabb out of our division please, and clear up the draft a little more.

I'm not sure why everyone is so eager to have McNoodle leave our division. He no longer scares the opponents. After his injury a couple of yrs ago he has not been the same. He no longer scrambles as well so he basically has become a pocket passer. I'd prefer they kept McNoodle, we knew what we were up against. I'm afraid Kolbe will be better and healthier which will give us more problems to defend around.
