For the same reason we cut Randy Thomas. I believe he was set to make like $6-7MM, Dallas didn't feel he was worth that, and the lack of a salary cap allowed the team to release him without penalty.

That, and they have some promising young LT on the team already. Oh well, maybe their loss will be our gain. How awesome would it be if we signed all these cast-out NFC-East veterans and managed to go to the superbowl... in Dallas.

That thought crossed my mind a few minutes ago...I blamed it on drug abuse when I was younger. But yeah, awesome would be an understatement.

Three games into the NFL season, Adams has been fined three times. The third wallet hit, a $7,500 blow, came down Wednesday, as Adams was punished for kicking at Carolina's Julius Peppers on Monday night (video here courtesy of Digital Sports Daily).

Adams was fined $5,000 for an unnecessary roughness penalty in Dallas' Week 1 win at Tampa Bay, and $12,500 for two incidents in a Week 2 loss to the Giants -- one of which was a trip on Justin Tuck that ended with Tuck injuring his shoulder.

Adams was punished not only for the second-quarter play that left Justin Tuck with a shoulder injury, but also for doing it to Osi Umenyiora in the fourth quarter.

Adams was flagged for kicking Tuck, but not for the swipe at Umenyiora. After the game, Tuck called it a "bush league play," and Adams shot back Monday, saying he didn't know Tuck was hurt, adding, "From a supposed kick? Tell him to stay up. It ain't my fault."

On Wednesday, Tuck got his turn to respond.

"Normally, people go to the Pro Bowl for blocking people, not tripping people. So maybe he should keep his feet on the ground," Tuck said. "We're not going to get into a war of words here, we are going to let it be what it is, and I'll see Flozell when we play them again."

The rematch is Dec. 6 at Giants Stadium.

Adams also was fined $5,000 for an unnecessary roughness penalty against Tampa Bay in the opener, which Adams said he wants to appeal.

NO! I am a purist I guess, but I hate players going to rival teams, especially those that have really made a long career in one place like Flozell has.

If we do sign him, I surely hope that someone can beat him out for the RT job. Heyer or some obscure 5th round pick, anybody but flozell!

I just can't believe that he would be an upgrade over someone else drafted or picked up via trade......or even Levi. If it would be a definite upgrade, ok, id be cool with it. But all it seems we'd be bringing in is a dirtbag piece of shit person who doesn't even know how to play clean. I am totally against this. If Shanny doesnt like A.H's attitude, u think Flozell Adams would be any better? If he plays RT then I'm Ok with him coming in here to compete. Heyer at RT is pure garbage. He's just not strong enough in his lower body to play at this level. So tired of watching Heyer get bull rushed. But Adams is done. He's a holding/false start machine so I'm not sure what Allen and co are thinking here.

C - Rabach

RT - Adams

Reserve - Lichtenstein (or however you spell it) Big Mike, ?

Sounds like a more passable line than last year to say the least. No one expected us to have the #1 line this year anyway. At least it would be a modest improvement as a start to building something better.
