I'm not discrediting you. I too get the feeling a deal may already be in place or an agreement that sometime perhaps in May or June prior to camp he will sign and be a Skin. So he doesn't have to be a part of the voluntary work outs. Maybe he has other commitments.

It's just my personal feelings. Nothing substantial. I think all this talk is how DS does business. Leak a little see how it flies. Leak it again later see how it flies. Leak it again. All in hopes the fan base will be wore down and say either sign him or move on. Example.... Shanahan. Prior to that the team would do that with players they wanted to pick up.... AH, Jason Taylor, etc.

But, I always find if funny when people start off with the ...." I have this family member who works for the Skins and..." or " I have a friend who works in Seattle who's baby sister is dating an NBA star who hails from DC. The unamed NBA player has a brother who works for a company that sells grass seeds to the field personel at Redskins park and he told them that T.O. is a lock."

Love the example. Shows so real commitment and creativity. How long did it take to come up with that particular scenario?

Thank you I too love people who simply have nothing nice to say. In other words I'm a nitwit. I can be just as childish.... takes one to know one.

I could buy that. I'm sure Shanahan is loving the attention either way.

As long as his signing doesn't knock Marko out of the line up. I know they just picked up the receiver / punt returner / quarterback guy from UVA....not a great receiver but a serviceable return man. If its the receivers from last year plus Owens that would be the max they would carry. Owens basically replacing Randell Ell.

Did Marko ever get into the lineup? I'd love to see him become another diamond in the rough, a la Chris Horton, but the guy has to show something in order to supplant others. So far, it ain't happening.

I think they picked up the CB Buchanon to be the KR/PR. He even mentioned it on an interview after practice one day.

Currently we have:

Moss
Thomas
Kelly
Mitchell
Hagans
Williams
Armstrong
Robinson

I'd be supprised if Hagans, Williams, Armstrong, or Robinson make the team. That leaves:

Moss
Thomas
Kelly
Mitchell

We could probably get away with only those 4 but I still think they either pick up one in the draft or sign T.O. or both. ARE's spot still needs to be filled. Then there is the PS player.

Haven't they been talking about Thomas being the #1 and putting Moss in the slot? He's not the speedster he used to be and has never had the size to be a Plax endzone threat.

I think your right but Thomas needs to be more of a lock. I remember DT getting drafted and people saying he was almost as fast as Moss or would be a good replacement later. It just seemed the team never utilized his speed.

It was hard to utilize his speed given the amount of time that Campbell spent kissing the turf.

I think it seems blatantly obvious the last coaching staff didn't utilize anybody the way they should have or we probably would have done better than 4-12. I think if nothing else Shanny coming in is going to put the talent we do have in better positions to success, and hopefully win, and once we get those few pieces we are missing, hopefully by next year, we can be real contenders. As much as i hope we can contend this year it seems like there are too many holes and too much transition. But at least their is something to be optimistic about. I never had that feeling the last _____ seasons.
