I doubt Allen and Shanahan really give two shits about the fan's opinion regarding any players.

You think DS cares what we think? This is the guy that brought Deion Sanders here.

No honestly I don't sit here with the mind set that the team is thinking... "hay I wonder if the fans would be on board with this signing." But I do think the fan base had some play in Fassel not getting signed. As much as I didn't like Fassel I can't imagine he wouldn't have been as good or better then Zorn who had no HCing experience. Maybe not since he most likely would not be able to pick up his own coaching staff. I'm mostly joking about the team trying to build support for T.O. It sounds good.

Well, at the time we needed a CB. He was the best on the market. At the time I didn't see anything wrong with it. No different then half the over priced signings we have had around her.... Archulletta? Lloyd? etc. etc.

I really want to see Darren Sharper here for a season or 2. The guy can still play and he is a turnonver machine. If we are in win now mode, well then TO and Darren Sharper make sense. Enter "over the hill gang" 2.0.

^ I totally agree with you. Maybe these signings are a strategy to get TO to lower his price tag.

I don't see how signing Bobby Wade and Joey Galloway is going to lower the TO price tag.
Maybe he will lower the price tag just to join Donovan again and play in the best division in football. As well as, take care of some unfinished business..

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 8)
As long as DS makes money, he doesnt care. Even though all signs point to us having a 5 or 6 win season, The Dan is going to make loads of money, until people stop going to the games....

Not sure what signs you're looking at, but from where I sit I'm seeing a much improved team from last year.

I also see a MUCH improved team all the way around. I'm thinking we win 10 games min. Just based on our new Coaching/QB/Scheme. And the fact that we have begun to address the O-line. As far as DS making money... Skins fans will never stop going to games. |

In any event Allen/Shanahan being on the same page is 10x better then Cerrato and whoever is selected to be HC. Now having a coaching staff hand picked by Shanahan who he thinks he can work with and will be on the same page only makes us even better. Getting rid of the dead wood that was collecting a paycheck and replacing with players (hopefully) who will work their butts off is icing on the cake. The only thing DS has to do is sit back pay the bills and enjoy the game. That and smile on Sun. I guess the point I'm trying to make is what on earth does this team or DS have to do in order to finally get some of you to climb aboard the bandwagon again? I'm somewhat guilty. I've kept the avatar I've had since the end of the season. My little protest avatar, the blue NFL avatar, was traded for the scripted R helmet. I probably should change it to reflect one of the players, but I have been lazy and have held on to it with the understanding that if they do things the right way I'll change it. What else do they have to do? win more games then last yr? get to the playoffs? get to the SB? I think now even I'm being a bit critical. The front office has changed, the HC has changed, the coaching staff has changed, half the team has changed? what else is needed? All we can do now is hope the changes made will accomplish something. |
