With LT's previous criminal history, would a conviction be viewed as a 3rd strike scenario.

Strange - alot of people said Ben should get a room and hire escorts. Sounds like LT tried to do that, but geez.

I would not be surprised if it gets plead down to a misdemeanor, IF, LT can show reasonable belief she was older.

The running away aspect has to scare every parent of a teenage girl. They are emotional wrecks.

The guy punching her in the face and forcing her will certainly go away for a LOOOONNNG time.

LT is one of those athletes whose life seems like a train wreck waiting to happen. He lives with a wrecklessness similar to Mike Tyson and John Daly. Frankly, I'm surprised that he made it to 50.

What is LT doing getting a hooker in New York? Go to Vegas where the girls are tested for diseases and most likely much hotter then some random 16 year old girl brought to you by a pimp. Man this sucks though. I like LT.

It is an odd double standard though, assuming this was consensual. When I was 16 I would have loved to hook up with a cougar. It's like that South Park episode where the young kid hooks up with a Teacher and the cops hand him a "luckiest boy in America" medal.

However when a guy is the older participant people seem much more likely to get up in arms. Ironically I'm one of those people, for some reason I feel really weird about it when it's a girl thats underage but if it's a guy I feel like finding him and telling him how great he is.

Gotta love double standards, America is full of them. Kinda annoys you when if the sexes were flipped, the 51 year old woman would get probation.

You are right about it being a double standard, but if the male is the younger participant it isn't viewed as being so bad if bad at all. The reason is that a young male is looking to get laid, while a young girl if anything is looking for love. Males give love to get sex, females sex to get love around age 16. I know that has changed somewhat with the young women, but it still is the same. Plus, when do you ever here of a younger male getting raped by a woman?
