Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread

Off the top of my head, it's safe to say the offense is way better than last year but at the same time the defense has horribly regressed due to the transition. We'll have to live with it through this year but next year we'll probably be seeing new personnel on d.

Hey Reed Doughty remember when you did a Q&A with the Warpath and I asked you what is more dangerous an elite top five receiver or and elite top five QB and you didn't answer my question?

I guess you answered my question today.

The skins could be 15-1 if they could just get that Defense going.

B. Mitchell said it best. Get the running game going.

sure we need the running game to be better, but the offense put enough points on the board to win this game. Our defense was just horrible in the 4th and our special teams play is constantly poor

I think this may kinda show you how good their offense really is this season. They'll dominate with whatever you give them... last week it was on the ground and this week it was through the air.

Foster had 69 yards today with 19 carries, but it was enough for them to be suckered into play action REPEATEDLY. When you're being suckered into play action, that means the D respects the O's running game. Foster also had a long reception.

^^ portis was injured, Johnson blew his opportunity when he ran backwards, and williams is a rookie, whom shanahan doesn't want to put the game on the line for. Thats probably what was going through shanahans head, but yes I agree we need to run right at them.

Let's not get crazy this thing is further along then we expected so soon. We blew it, no doubt but we can learn from it. We got our man in Mcnabb he makes receivers and Moss will be terrific with him. I say we kick the shit out of st. louis and philly and by then we'll be much further along to try and upset greenbay.

Seriously. No need to freak out. It is Week 2 and we are a team learning new systems and have new personnel.
