Re: Week 13: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread

We were exposed today by a team that we simply can't match up with. Even w/out 2 o-line starters it was a cake walk for the Giants o-line. They manhandledour defense. AH really wouldn't have made a difference. And their d-line just caused havoc. I'll keep on saying this but we simply must get younger this off season and I would expect and hope that a lot of the older guys will not be back.

huh? really? i hate hanyesworth as much as the next guy for his actions, but to say if he was playing he wouldn't have been able to bet snee one on one is just dumb. kemo couldn't get any movement up front and for most of the game it was just him on snee, atlease the plays i saw.

He played last year when they ran up 40+ on us. It would not have mattered one bit. If he's in there Giants still win the game easily.

I remember he sacked Sheli to stop a drive early in the game. Don't blame him for everyone else and Blache's actions.

Their 3rd and 4th WRs looked better than anyone we've got on the roster. They were big and physical. We've got shrimps and skinny little girly men.

Hagan is a career journeymen so I'm not sure why our DB's weren't getting physical with him. I've just had enough of this defense. We really don't seem to have any type of gameplan or ever seem to make adjustments.

So i suspect we go to the 4-3 defense next year...Haslett i think will be gone.

One thing is for sure though, we need to find an offense. we are in need of a O-Line badly. The skins are gonna have a good draft pick this year, they should draft all offensive linemen with their picks and maybe sign like one skill player...

I dont think we will switch, and I bet Haslet is back also. The reason we wont switch,Shanahan's ego is way too ****ing big to admit it was a mistake to switch.

Re: Week 13: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread

We might have had a chance if haynesworth had played, if Rabach was replaced at center, and our receivers had not tipped a McNabb pass to give the Giants an interception. Well, this proves my theory that Shanahan and his son are a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic, and that he needed Elway to win in Denver. Could we sign Elway, please? I know Haynesworth needs to go, but while we're paying him, just go ahead and treat him like a diva, give him a Snickers bar and let him play on Sundays. But don't make the 'Skins look so inept. Orakpo needs a rest because he's hurt, not Haynesworth, who has had a long enough rest! Also, I would certainly sign Selvish Capers (the big tackle from WVU) and see if he can play. And get somebody who can call plays!!!

I'm not sure about whether Haslett will be back, but it looked to me like much of the problem today was sloppy tackling...and some really questionable decisions by McNabb

I feel like we got crushed by the Eagles bc they were on fire, but today it was because we were pretty awful. We have no depth, and that will take some time to correct

The funny thing is it looks like our guys really don't know how to tackle and that comes down to coaching. Rocky is grabbing at Jacobs shoulder pads, Reed D. is grabbing at ankles, and don't get me started on Moore.

It is difficult to imagine that players at this level who have played.....many years do not know how to perform the most fundamental of football manuevers......I lay that on the players.

If a team is on fire you get crushed with something like 42-21. Once you allow a team to pass that 50 point barrier you then have a combination of a team thats on fire and a team that stinks.

Tackling is part fundamentals and part attitude. The latter seemed to be severely lacking today.

It comes down to talent as well. When a less talented guy is trying to tackle a more talented guy, the less talented guy can be made to look foolish.

We have a team full of the former
