Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread

i thought coaching was on point today. 2:30 mins to go, down by 7, we marched down the field for the potential game tying td. thats coaching and good qb play.

Umm, remember the end of the 1st Half? We didn't get the damn play in despite calling a timeout. We also let the clock run all the way down.

i like what our coaching staff brings to the table. another offseason of adding more pieces and things are going to start looking good, we finally have competent coaches who can outcoach other teams.

Really? I haven't see Haslett out coach anyone.

One of the best statements I've seen and I couldn't agree more.

I'd say the biggest disappointment this year is Haslett.
You could argue McNabb or Shanny's but Haslett has made the greatest strength of the team its greatest weakness...that actually takes effort on his part to achieve such a feat

You mean coaches who somehow can't hammer the upfield guys on the kick return to protect the ball at all costs?

Or an OC that neglects Chris Cooley almost all game.

And Haslett adjusts way too late. Last week, the Giants attacked Buchanon again and again unpunished for a good deal of the first half. By the time we dealt with that, the hole was already pretty deep.

Have to disagree.

- How many rushing yards did we have in the second half?
Answer: 14.
- How many three & out drives did we have in the second half?
Answer: Three.
- How many three & outs for the Bucs in the second half?
Answer: One. The Bucs had 5 possessions in the 2nd half, scored on three, made a mistake at the GL, and the single 3 & out.

The Bucs made halftime adjustments on offense and defense. Our coaching staff did nothing or made crappy adjustments. After the first drive of the second half when the Bucs changed how they defended the run, KS went away from it....after we dominated the first half running. We ran for 174 in the first half and 14 in the second half.

Our D gave up three points in the first half and fourteen in the second. Granted they were hindered by our poor offensive performance in the second half....as they have been all year....but still the Bucs made adjustments, we didn't, and here we are at 5-8.

The coaching staff is as much to blame this season as the players. The sad thing is I don't have any optimism looking towards next year either.

Re: Redskins vs Bucs GameDay Thread

we are such a laughing stock. to be honest when bad shit happens to our team im not even surprised. fumbled squib kick by wilson, wasnt surprised. missed pat, not surprised. missed field goals, not surprised. we are such a joke and an embarrassment. the moment we missed those 2 easy field goals i knew that would come back to kill us in the end. a team like us cant afford to give away points like that, we will lose in the end 99% of the time when that happens.

Hey Redskins nation, R U in now? Me, I checked out 3 games ago. F this team! A bunch of over-hyped, half-ass quiters who don't deserve the burgundy and gold uniforms that they wear! F Dan Snyder too and his media machine for getting us fans excited season after season only to be extremely disappointed season after season! I hope there is no football next year, so I want have to see patheticness on display. Oh yeah, F this team!

patience. we knew this year we would have growing pains. imo things are coming together but it will take another offseason or two. we are in good hands, a complete turnover doesnt happen overnight.

Totally disagree, OTM. First of all, if the Bucs didn't have a bad case of Carlos Rogers, the Redskins would have gotten hammered today! Hammered.

I am so god damned tired of some of you guys talking about patience, when this clown coaching us this year is no better than the clown we had last year. I'm sorry, but at $7 million per year Mike Shanahan is the most overrated over paid, over hyped coach in the NFL this year. It's one thing to be wildly optimistic tempered with some patience, it's another to have glaring deficiencies and flaws week in and week out. That's not a patience issue, that's a competence issue.

The personnel decisions have been questionable, the play calling and clock management has been suspect, and Shanny continues to feed us BS at every presser. I'm just not convinced that the talent level between mos NFL rosters, ours included, is that great.

Didn't the Skins miss two field goals and drop a couple of interceptions?

This is the part that bothers me the most... It seems like we can say this every single week. It would be one thing if it was a, "Oh! We just need another draft or another FA class." It just doesn't seem like the case. It just scares the crap outta' me that no matter who is here, who is GM, who is coach, what defense we run, who we play... the results just seem to be the same no matter what.

It is plain and simple, the Danny is a win now type of guy and after Gibbs left and Mr Cooke died the organization went to hell. Norv did the best he could to keep the franchise competitive, and so did Marty in his one year stint ith us, but after the decent HCs lefts, we got gimmicks(Spurrier, Gibbs II), bad experiments(Zorn), and now an overrated HC. Sorry guys, but this guy had loads of talent post Elway and never got past a divsional title after John left. The whole thing is there needs to be a plng term plan in place to build a winner. THus far, I am not tht impressed with the Allen/Shanahan regime in Redskins Park. THey can rectify that by making a lot of solid moves in the offseason that tell me they do in fact have a solid plan in building a winner here.
