Matt Cassel deserves a chance imo

Brady.. 15 games/started.. Vick has 12

Brady leads in yards, td, int, rating.. basically everything but rushing yards

can't give MVP based on projections of Vick playing more games

Tom Brady.

If you want to go with a literal interpretation of MVP - - meaning the player most valuable to his team - - then Matt Cassel has to get a ton of consideration. Compare the Chiefs when he is the QB and when he is not...

Agreed on the literal interpertation. The Eagles went 2-1 with Kolb as a starter after the first Redskins game while the Chiefs were shut out on offense against the Chargers when Cassel was out. Heck the Pats won 11 games with Cassel while Brady was out.

Not sure about that. The Chiefs coaching staff called a game far too scared for a QB that they have had for almost 4 years. Not only that, their defense couldn't get themselves off the field and gave the Chargers many long drives.

Still it shouldn't have been bad enough to produce a shut out.

Having only 20 minutes with the ball combined with almost always running on first down does increase the probability.

Not only that, Cassel only had a 3.1 yards per attempt against the Chargers in the season opener AND his best yards per attempt figure against the Chargers was 5.7 last year.

Cassel has had a great season no doubt, but the Chiefs also have the best rushing attack in the league at 167.5 yards per game to keep the pressure off of him.

Re: Your 2010 NFL MVP is?

I think the discussion should be between Brady, Cassel, and Aaron Rodgers. Look at Rodgers' numbers and also look at how Green Bay has performed when he's not in the lineup. No offense to Matt Flynn but it's not the same. Not saying Rodgers deserves it, just sayin he needs to be under consideration.

With all that said though, it's gotta be Brady. If Brady finishes the season without throwing another pick I think he'll have it locked up in a landslide.
