Re: Training camp 2011 thread

I'm really curious to see how the Keiland Williams-Darrel Young FB battle develops. I think it could end up being one of the better camp battles

I think Shanahan likes having these potential running backs playing fullbacks. You look at some of the guys he's had over the years playing FB at one time or another with Mike Anderson, Rueben Droughns, Howard Griffith, even Peyton Hillis. In my eyes Keiland Williams kind of fits that mold and above all moving him to fullback creates a roster spot for one of the more versatile players in Washington.

Chris Horton and DHall had fight. Horton says "S*** happens" and Hall says it is over, but they won't hug it out. #Redskins

Horton keeps playing out of position, a lot of people are going to want to hit him

And in James Davis news, Shanny says he thinks he's retired...so 2016 Hall of Fame class-Brett Favre, Randy Moss, James Davis

If for nothing other than showing he is competitive, look for Beck to make a strong effort to equal, if not surpass the performance of Grossman against the Steelers. Trust he wont find himself in a situation where if things don't go well around him (like they did for Grossman) he'll find himself pressing to measure up and thereby make mistakes. This is the perfect opportunity for him.

Great!
I'm still on his band wagon....certainly didn't want to waste that pick, not to mention the need for youth at that position.

From this article:

12. Receiver Leonard Hankerson had his best day catching the ball, grabbing a variety of throws, one down low another where he had to reach up high and others that were between the numbers. Got ‘em all. He ran a good route vs. Brandyn Thompson in which he planted out, in and back out. He shook Thompson, squared his shoulder and came back for the ball.
