2011 NFL Season: Bold Predictions Thread
So reading the Lions/Pats thread got me thinking- Let's all go out on a limb and make some predictions for the upcoming season that are off the beaten path, so to speak.
Mine are as follows: -The Lions win 11 games (not just saying that b/c of last night- I've thought for a while that if Stafford stays healthy that they can be damn good). I know their bandwagon is getting full, but I think they can challenge Green Bay for their division. -The Giants will finish last in the NFC East -The Jets will miss the playoffs.

Chiefs fall off to 5-11 record
Skins go 10-6 Ravens miss the playoffs The Bucs bomb. Go 6-10. I always felt that Josh Freeman is/was over-rated

Re: 2011 NFL Season: Bold Predictions Thread
I feel like these predictions are a little easy on the "bold" part.
The Lions making the playoffs - bold. I will also second that prediction. The Bengals winning one game - not bold, because everyone would agree with that or something similar, like winning between 1-3 games. The Skins having a top 15 defense? Not bold, I think based upon what we've seen this preseason we're definitely capable of that. The Skins having a top 5 defense? Bold. Also note I'm using that as an example, because I don't believe that'll happen this year lol. I'll go out on a limb. John Beck will have a season equal to Mark Brunell's 2005 season, where he threw for 3000 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 picks. Ryan Kerrigan and Brian Orakpo will be the first pair of Redskins bookend linebackers to both make the Pro Bowl the same year. Here's another bold one: Ryan Kerrigan = DROY. I feel like the "Bold" part still needs to be emphasized. Another example just to give an idea: Bold prediction: Aceinthehouse predicting we will go 14-2 last year. Not bold: Santana Moss will have 80 catches. (Sorry Jontrem)

Phillip Rivers will be MVP
Redskins will go 9-7 and miss the playoffs Von Miller will have less sacks than Ryan Kerrigan (but a better all around year) Santana Moss will have over 80 catches Brady Quinn will start a few games in denver Minnesota will make the playoffs and Mcnabb will get too much of the credit The NFC west will send a team to the playoffs with an 8-8 record Mark Ingram will win offensive Rookie of the year Von Miller will win defensive rookie of the year |

Re: 2011 NFL Season: Bold Predictions Thread
(SKINS)9-7. wait..... I really want to say 10-6, but I've gotten burnt in the past using that number... so 9-7 or better.
Hey don't they have to cut down by Tues.? Other teams are already starting to cut their 5 or so players, I wonder to we cut. Jarvis- IR Moore- PUP or IR Torain? Maybe we only have to cut 2 or 3 players. Last edited by SBXVII; 08-28-2011 at 02:54 PM. |

Should have clarified. It would just be interim for the remainder of the season.

Re: 2011 NFL Season: Bold Predictions Thread
Wow, I didn't know "bold" meant "specific". But I'll play along.....
The Giants and Dallas do their best to keep from being in last place in the NFC East. The Redskins take 1st place of the NFC East, with the Eagles in 2nd place. Cinci is the biggest loser this year. |
