Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
For me, just once this year I want a GOOD record to be set in a win. Like I want Helu or Choice or WHOEVER to rush for a single game franchise record. Or I want Leonard Hankerson to catch 4 TDs to have the most single-game TDs as a rookie. ANYTHING like that.
I know that sounds far-fetched, but I get so tired of records being set against us in a bad way. Hell, someone could pick up Vernon Gholston and he'd get 10 sacks in a day against us.

And silly me thought that was going to be the catalyst behind our inevitable comeback that day!

Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
Look, I am just as pissed as the next guy to lose a game. But what we as Redskins fan have to look at is, are we headed in the right direction. Redskin fans have been buying into the hype for better part of 12 years that this is going to be our year. Spending ridiculous amounts of money on worthless players. These things have been debated to death. Throwing the draft picks out the window year after year.
What I am pleased with is the progress on both sides of the ball, personel wise. Young players at key positions, building depth, and mixing in some personel that actually fit into the system. I am excited of the potential this team has in 2 or 3 years. |

Listen to yourself, and think back to the first year of every new coach we have had since Gibbs retired the first time. Even with Zorn everyone was initially excited about the new regime. The whole thing(meaning franchise) is HYPE. You don't think Shanny and Allen could be all hype after all that we have experienced since the Cooks lost the team? |

I am hoping the difference in this equation is Bruce Allen and Shannahan. Both are good personel guys, Snyder has seemed to back off and let them do their thing. I think the proof was the way the draft was handled this year, aquiring more picks (12) and playing youth. Playing Hankerson, Pauls, Austin vs going out and getting Ocho, or TO, or Moss. WHo doesn't think that one of these if not two of these guys would have been Redskins if Allen and Shanny were running things. THey didn't jump on the 1st QB they could draft when they felt it wasn't someone that can win in the NFL. Which was Gabbert, and of all the rookies playing this year, he has looked the worst by far. These guys know what they are doing, I think there is a QB class coming out next year that is what they were targeting from the beginning. If this regime is allowed to continue this philosophy over the next two - three years and build through draft, play OUR young guys letting them gain experience, and add a key player here or there, I really think we are going to be on the right path towards competing every year. |

Well I know we are rebuilding, I just hope that something is actually being rebuilt and not just some BS muddling through just doing stuff to look like the FO is actually doing something. |

Trent looks serviceable at the very least. Rak is pretty good as well, although he isn't elite yet. We need to stay the course and draft well again next year, use free agency well, and pick up good UDFAs.

Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
I think the plague of injuries to Cooley, T. Willimansm, Moss, Buchannan,Jenkins, and most importantly Tim Hightower took the air out of the offense. Beck looks lethargic and has no grasp of the offense at all. He's missed the big plays down the field and its cost us 4 losses as a result.

Nope, as was said to me after the first game, ....injuries are no excuse ...all teams have them and must deal with them, "players need to step up".

Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
It's the FO's job to have competent reserves in place. Failing to maintain a certain level performance after an injury shows a failure to do that job.

Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
My statement does not logically entail that.
